A moderate-sized church built in the 12th century in the Byzantine style with a dome. It is stone-built on the outside, and covered with painting of saints inside, Once it functioned as the seat of the local Blishop.
Sadly, it is marred by recent renovations which have not been sympathetic with traditional methods of construction and use of local materials.

Essaouira or the "white city" is know for it's beautiful whitewashed buildings. Sitting on the Atlantic coast, it has a very moderate climate. It's a great seaside resort for many northern cold winter countries in Europe. I would call it the most laidback Moroccan city. It's lovely colorful boats and waves crashing against the boardwalk make for some very pleasant and relaxing days.
It's almost impossible to photographs women in Morocco. However, this gentleman was willing to stop for a moment as I snapped a few photos. Of course I did give him a generous tip.
The old tire swing was such a pretty step back to a childhood memory, the breeze one feels as you lean back and pump your legs to go higher .. the butterflies in your stomach as you whoosh on back down ... the warmth of the sun on your face, one cannot help but smile ... all cares went by the wayside ... such a simple time in life.

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – It’s another hazy day in Metro Vancouver. But while U.S. wildfire smoke is affecting air quality on this side of the border again, it isn’t nearly as bad as it was last month.
The Metro Vancouver regional district says the air quality health index is expected to be “moderate” at worst on Friday due to smoke coming from California.

The Al-Madras Trail is a hiking trail located in Petra, Jordan. It is a relatively short trail, taking about half a day to complete, and offers stunning views of the ancient city from a different perspective. The trail is named after the Arabic word for "oil press," as the area was once used for agriculture.
The trail starts just before you reach the Siq, the narrow gorge that leads to the main entrance of Petra. From there, it winds through the Wadi Al Madras, a valley that runs parallel to the Siq. Along the way, you will see a variety of Nabataean tombs and other archaeological features.
The highlight of the trail is the High Place of Sacrifice, a religious complex that sits on a hilltop overlooking Petra. The views from here are truly breathtaking.
Here are some additional things to know about the Al-Madras Trail:
It is not as well-marked as some of the other trails in Petra, so it is a good idea to have a map or guide.
The trail can be quite dusty, so it is a good idea to wear shoes with good traction.
There is no shade on the trail, so be sure to wear sunscreen and bring a hat.
The trail is not suitable for people with mobility issues.
If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding hike with amazing views, the Al-Madras Trail is a great option. Just be sure to be prepared for the heat and dust.
