It is worth enlarging the photo as much as possible, to observe the extraordinary beauty of this Patagonian glacier. On the right of the photograph, composed of the union of twenty-four shots, with exposure locked, the motor vessel, for a quick comparison of the dimensions ....
The front reaches a height of over one hundred metres, is one and a half kilometres wide and is over twenty-five kilometres long.

The old part of Tây Ninh City is supposed to have developed along the Tây Ninh riverside. Two photos were merged to get this image.
The mountain vaguely seen in the upper right is a stratovolcano called Núi Bà Đen meaning black lady mountain. It is the highest mountain in the Mekong Delta with an elevation of 996 m. More importantly, it is a sacred mountain for Đạo Mẫu or the mother goddess worship in the Mekong Delta.
Tay Ninh is located where the Ho Chi Minh Trail meets the Mekong Delta and is only 90 km to Saigon. Fierce battles were fought during the American War for the control of the strategically important volcano according to the English version of Wikipedia.

It Is Said That Nothing Is Going to Last Forever
I’m just glad for the time I have now
Let the mysteries come
The confusion reign
The sun rise
The sun set
A new day begins
And then it ends
Another work of short poetry or prose to complement the image captured one early evening around sunset in the area around International Falls, Minnesota. The view extends to the west looking along the shores of Rainy Lake. Other than aligning myself up to more or less center the sun in the image, the rest was moving around the shoreline until I could find a look with that to complement the lake waters in the right hand portion of the image.
I chose to work with Camera RAW HDR merge tool to better bring that complete color setting in the image. I later exported a TIFF image to DxO PhotoLab 9 where I did some final adjustments with contrast, saturation and brightness for the final image.
Foxgloves & Sweet Chestnuts. Both photos taken this morning and as it was Sunday I decided to combine them -HSS!
Noon is not the best time to shoot images...or is it?
This image was captured in the middle of the day when the sun is at its highest. If we look, we can find images any time of day.
I loved the layers of tone found in this lighthouse on a small beach in South Carolina.

I am a big fanboy of sea stacks. These isolated outcrops of vertical rocks speak to my lunacy. I can almost hear them wail a hymn to evade pain as their eroding resilience stands up to the ocean's constant and often violent hammering. Most have no face (some though do), but they all have stories. Some speak of the sunsets they have witnessed, while others narrate attrition imposed by rip tides of time. These sea stack tales float like mist in the salty sea breeze; if you care, you could easily pluck out a few for your soul.
I have photographed many sea stacks, some famous and others beautiful. There are many more sea stacks I would like to visit; some are far, some very far. But closer to home, in Bandon, Oregon, I had the privilege of meeting many sea stacks (above) that stood tall together, without a damn concern for the outcome of time.

40 Grad Urban Art Festivals 2024
Artists: ANNA TARATIEL & BONA_BERLIN

A forgotten composition from last November which has recently become more appealing to me so I though I’d give processing a go. Obviously the composition looked ok while I was on location but other photographs from a really sublime morning had more appeal, particularly one which I really love and is pinned on top of my gallery together with my much missed beloved dogs. The foreground looks a bit messy but I was taken by how the concrete slaps merged to a point, what do you think. Maybe a better image black and white my usual take on manmade carbuncle’s.

Three shots merged to form the panorama. Holiday by The Aurora Zone. I highly recommend this hotel as an excellent wild remote dark sky location to see the Aurora. Excellent food and staff.

"This show is dedicated to my good friend Amona Savira, who left us earlier this year quite unexpectedly. Her passing was an absolute shock to me but sadly it was just one of a few losses I suffered this year. When Kate asked me to fill in this show slot that had been intended for Amona, I was happy to try and do it justice, even though other pressures didn't seem to want me to complete it. I think what I experienced this year with all the events in my life, is that regardless of how tragic and harsh things can be, you cannot let things consume you and paralyze you. Suffering, remorse, sadness are all healthy emotions but they must not take over your life. Keeping things in perspective and getting back to the business of living your life can be hard but must be a priority. It's hard and you can get lost. I know because I did get lost a bit this year. I know you all have experienced these things your self, this shoot was a bit of therapy for me. Thanks, Dr. Kate!"
