SR 'Merchant Navy' Class Pacific No. 35018 'British India Line' with its TOPS number (98818) on the cabside and 35018 chalked on the smokebox door (but thankfully shorn of the 'Bodmin' nameplates) wheezes past Keerholme on the Carnforth/Hellifield/Preston/Carnforth loaded mainline test circuit on 6 July 2017.
Bulleid Merchant Navy Pacific 35028 Clan Line of the Merchant Navy Locomotive Preservation Society in the sun at New Alresford during its only steam gala visit. Edit to put the right name plates on it - the red ones... rather than the black ones that it often carries.
The Skandi Barra is a MT 6000 MK II Design and is a Platform Supply Vessels (PSV). Skandi Barra joined the DOF Fleet in 2005 and have been working on long term contract mainly in the North Sea.

I specifically visited the harbour this evening to capture this magnificent vessel make her way back to the North Sea bound for Antwerp, tugged by Carrickfergus and Kittiwake with the Aberdeen pilot boat monitoring the manoeuvre it was a magnificent sight indeed .

17 Photos coming up taken by my father on the 1st of August 1964 (which doesn't look like a Summers day!). I have tried to use his notebooks to get them in the correct order. this is the first taken at Exeter Central and the rest are taken at St James Park Halt.
I think the time of this one is between 11am and 12 noon and Merchant Navy 35029 Ellerman Line is shunting coaches within the station.
The loco was allocated to Nine Elms at this time, having been new in February 1949. It was withdrawn in September 1966 and what is left of the loco is now a static exhibit at the NRM

Merchant Navy class, 35024 East Asiatic Company surges through Woking with a Waterloo to Bournemouth express.
The Bulleid Pacifics used to shake the platform as they hurtled through the station, but the little Agfa Silette camera has “stopped” it pretty well.

British Railways Merchant Navy No.35028 ‘Clanline’ makes a lot of noise as it heads up Freshfield bank on the 1500 Sheffield Park - East Grinstead service.

Both pacifics worked up to the end on the Southern Region of British Railways, 35030 pulling the very last BR steam train into London Waterloo station in July 1967. The year before it had headed a steam special to Nottingham on the last day of through services on the Great Central Railway in September 1966 - 50 years ago.
The present-day Great Central Railway plans a mini-Gala over the weekend of 2nd-3rd September to commemorate the end.
Also known as the Merchant Navy War Memorial, is a war memorial at Pier Head beside the River Mersey in Liverpool, near to the Royal Liver Building and the Museum of Liverpool. It commemorates nearly 1,400 men from the British Merchant Navy who died on active service with Royal Navy in the Second World War, and who have no known grave.

Ex Southern Railways Merchant Navy class No. 35028 "Clan Line" powers through Stoke Canon hauling the return working of the Torbay express back to Bristol Temple Meads.
9 July 1967 was the last day of steam from Waterloo, and no-one could have thought that, 55 years later, it would be still be possible to see fast line long-distance steam workings there! With the sunset 'glint' option now having passed owing to late running, the signals provide the burnishing on the train as Bulleid 'Merchant Navy' 35028 'Clan LIne' accelerates hard through West Byfleet from its Woking stop. Signal problems at Weymouth had delayed its start by 48 minutes but it arrived at Waterloo only 14 minutes down. 8k video frame.
Merchant Navy class 4-6-2 35028 Clan Line casts a pall of smoke across an otherwise bucolic scene as it heads a steam special back to Paddington through rural Gloucestershire.

Southern railways Merchant Navy class No. 35006 "Peninsular and Oriental S.N Co" approaches journeys end of Cheltenham, on the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire railway. The Merchant Navy had worked the service from Broadway, during the railways 2019 steam gala.
On it's first revenue-earning run and looking magnificent in fresh green livery, SR 'Merchant Navy' Class Pacific No. 35018 'British India Line' heads the WCRC 'Lune Rivers Trust Special' from Carnforth to York near Bolton Percy on 30 September 2017.
Unfortunately the engine was not able to make the return leg reportedly because of a big-end bearing problem.
