SS Master is a gorgeous 1922 wooden hulled, steam tugboat. Last time I saw it, it was in Steveston (Richmond), here it's moored at Granville Island (Vancouver).

Travelers, was executed by Deborah Masters in 2007, was installed in Audubon Park in March, 2008 as part of Sculpture for New Orleans.
Audubon Park, bordered by the Mississippi River and St. Charles Avenue, was carved out of the plantations owned by the Foucher and Boré familes in 1871, and initially called Upper City Park. The park is named in honor of artist and naturalist John James Audubon, who began living in New Orleans in 1821. Inside the park, there is a golf course, several lakes, and the 58-acre Audubon Zoo.
In 1884 the World's Industrial and Cotton Exposition, or World Cotton Centennial, celebrating the first shipment of cotton, was held in Audubon Park. The first street car was introduced at the expo, led by motorman/tea baron Thomas Lipton. The Mardi Gras Krewe of Rex arrived at the Expo aboard a yacht, establishing a tradition that survives today. New Orleans was still recovering from the Civil War and Reconstruction, and it was the World's Fair that helped jumpstart development around the city. Most remnants of the Cotton Exposition were demolished or destroyed in the ensuing years and Audubon Park's present form follows a a design drafted by John Charles Olmsted, a principal of the renowned Olmsted Brothers landscape architecture practice.
I had the privilege of attending the wedding of some young friends who live out of town. While weddings and young love have not changed, circumstances in my life have. This was the first "road trip" since the Bid D (not Dallas), so the whole experience seemed different. Rooms and meals seem quieter. At first the silence is peaceful, but then it just seems odd. You never realize how much you can miss the chaos that can surround you.
At some point, I want to share these experiences again, just with someone who wants to share them with me.
The car is supposed to be the willing servant, carrying its owner anywhere, at a whim. But come out and find a flat tire and see who jumps.

1) This was inspired by Andre de Freitas.
2) I was drawn to his use of double exposures of incorporating a human figure and environment conditions.
3) My goal for my photo was to use the tree branches as veins in my self portrait. I believe this picture came out well. Andre de Freitas's style I believe is depicted in the picture because I was able to present a surreal image of human figures in nature.

* Curtains hides a window & a door, both open on Balcony 3, which overlooking the street

A Master Bathroom picture, the homeowner decided to use a lot of knotty pine paneling and pine logs throughout. Notice the tile countertop and pine medicine cabinet over the vanity. We hope you enjoy the pictures.
