The Master of Disaster program is a three-module learning resource available in both English and French, designed to help Grade 6 students learn about emergency preparedness from a proactive and interactive all-hazards perspective.
Minister of State for Emergency Preparedness Naomi Yamamoto announced the program at Queen Mary school in North Vancouver.

Busy day so nothing special here. When you're doing a project like the alphabet it's a sure bet that lame pictures like this will end up being posted.
A "Master Gardener" I am not, but we went to the Fort Bend Master Gardener Annual Perennial Sale this morning. Been out in the yard planing things and cleaning up all afternoon. Today we planted a couple of fig trees, a plum tree, a lemon tree, lime tree, pomegranate, two blueberry bushes and a few other things. Sunburned and zonked!

Masters of Imagination

May we have the envelope, please. The winner is … readers everywhere.
Indeed, ours is a win win situation. We’ve won untold hours of entertainment and insight from the masters of comic books, and delightful hours of insight into the lives and work of thirteen comics legends in “Masters of Imagination”.
These thirteen cartoonists are inductees of the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame and/or the Will Eisner Hall of Fame, comparable to receiving the “Oscar” of motion pictures. Those inducted are: Will (“The Spirit”) Eisner, Joe (“Superman”) Shuster, Jack (“Capt. America”) Kirby, and C. C. (“Captain Marvel”) Beck. Also honored are Jack (“Plastic Man”) Cole, Carl (“Uncle Scrooge”) Barks, Walt (“Pogo”) Kelly, Basil (“SpaceHawk”) Wolverton, and Harvey (“Mad” magazine) Kurtzman. Completing this roster are Wallace Wood, Bernard Krigstein, and Alex Toth (famous for their E. C. Comics work) and Steve (“Spider-Man”) Ditko.
Anyone reading comic books has been directly or indirectly affected by the talent of these men. But the real star of “Masters of Imagination” is the lavish detail given to the careers of each cartoonist. Add over 250 color illustrations and extensive appendixes of published work, and it’s difficult to imagine any more fascinating a celebration of the artform.
To those just beginning to read comic books, start with “Masters of Imagination”. If you come away without a burning curiosity to read the best offered in comic books you must be sleep reading.
For hardcore comic book fans who know everything worth knowing about this artform, think again. You’ll find something new and exciting here.
Highly recommended for anyone interested in comic books.

Master Gardener Tour, June 24, 2023 in Sequim, Washington. Six homes were opened to the public exhibiting a vast array of flowers and other ornamental lawn and yard art.
I have previously posted a photograph of Osborne's former A.E.C "Renown" demonstrator, and here, on the same day and in virtually the same spot is their A.E.C. "Bridgemaster" demonstrator, 2211 MK. I always did like the "Bridgemaster", and I thought the upright front and heavy radiator grille, with the driver's side mudguard hidden under the bodywork, gave it a purposeful, almost aggressive, appearance.
