Last week my friend Tracy sent me a package of goodies from Japan....this killer face mask was but one of the beautiful gems in the parcel.

Using a mask i designed back in 2001 and a self portrait from 2006, I created this, im still not sure what it means.. i guess something.

A steampunk themed half mask sculpted from leather, and finished with brass pieces.

We're all guilty of putting on a show (whether it be happy, or sad, or anything in between) just so that people only know a modified version of ourselves. One friend knows us as the most charming person, while another knows us as the shy kid. Sometimes it's for the best, and sometimes for the worst, and sometimes we're just worried what someone would think of our true selves. Luckily, we have our family who know all the ups and downs about us and still love us day after day. I'm definitely proud to say I have one like that :)

This was the final resting place for Rocky Dennis played by Eric Stoltz.

The lovely and talented Zoe Jakes of Beats Antique.

This is from their Wanderlust VT show we saw in June. One of the best nights of my life to date. It's a great feeling to know that some of your favorite artists recognize and appreciate you.

I am so excited, beyond words excited, to see them four nights in a row, starting this Thursday in Boston. Any of you in the MA or PA (or Vermont!) area should really try to make it to see this powerful group. It truly is a great experience.

2010 - Printed at Columbia Book & Paper Arts workshop that was led by Jim and Bill Moran of Hamilton Wood Type. Our instructors brought an amazing collection of 1930-1950 era advertising blocks/cuts acquired from Globe Printing of Chicago. (This was subsequently used by Target for a new apparel collection).
