For decades, Zündapp was a well-known brand name among motorcyclists. In 1957 this Nürnberg producer added a small car to its program as they saw their two-wheel customers leaving for the auto industry. 6,902 were eventualty buiit.

That the front and rear were almost indistinguishabIe led to the Zündapp Janus being the most controversial small car of its time. Today it's a collector's item. The car on display has only 520 original kilometres. It was acquired in October 1984 from Zündapp bankruptcy assets.

I'm neither a typical collector of stamps, nor a stamp dealer. I'm only a stamp photograph. I'm fascinated of the fine close-up structures which are hidden in this small stamp-pictures. Please don't ask of the worth of these stamps - the most ones have a worth of a few cents or still less.
By the way, I wanna say thank you to all flickr users who have sent me stamps! Great! Thank you! Someone sent me 3 or 5 stamps, another one sent me more than 20 stamps in a letter. It's everytime a great surprise for me and I'm everytime happy to get letters with stamps inside from you!

4. KLASSIK TOUR KRONBERG 2017
Der Porsche 911, kurz auch Neunelfer, oder nur Elfer genannt, ist der bekannteste Sportwagen von Porsche und gilt als Inbegriff dieser Marke. Die neueste Modellreihe 992 ist seit 2019 erhältlich.
Der erste 911 wurde am 12. September 1963 auf der IAA in Frankfurt am Main als Nachfolger des Porsche 356 mit der Bezeichnung Porsche 901 vorgestellt. Dreistellige Zahlen mit einer Null in der Mitte waren jedoch für Peugeot als Typbezeichnung geschützt, sodass der Wagen im Jahr 1964 als Porsche 911 auf den Markt kam.
Für das Modelljahr 1974 wurde der 911 grundlegend überarbeitet. (Beginnend mit dem Modelljahr 1968, der A-Serie, wurde jeder Jahrgang bis 1979 (M-Serie; der Buchstabe I wurde nicht vergeben) mit einem fortlaufenden Buchstaben des Alphabets bezeichnet. Der Jahrgang 1980 hatte die Bezeichnung A-Programm). Obwohl strenggenommen nur die Fahrzeuge des Modelljahres 1974 die G-Serie bilden, werden allgemein sämtliche 911er der Jahrgänge 1974 bis 1989 als G-Serie beziehungsweise G-Modell bezeichnet.

The Old Marke Hall is a Grade II listed building, built in 1682 by Sir William Drake as a gift for the townsfolk and is decorated with his arms and the initials WD. It was intended for the upper floor to be used for meetings, such as those for traders’ guilds, and the ground floor as a market.

Wheal Jenkin sett was worked by the Cornwall Great United Mining Association (London) between 1836-7.
A steam engine was erected at Wheal Jenkin in October 1836 to work 40 head of stamps, and 21 heads of new water-stamps were also under construction to handle the ore from the Cornwall Great United Mines.
In the 1870s Wheal Jenkin it was acquired by the Marke Valley adventurers. In 1881, the mine was re-opened as part of Marke Valley Consols Mines Ltd. Working for tin, the former Whim shaft was re-opened as Bellingham's shaft, and, in 1886, the Holman's shaft (South Caradon) 70" engine was re-erected in a new engine house.
The mine closed in 1890 and there are no records of any attempt to re-prospect the lodes during the early years of the 20th Century.

Die Entwicklung der VW-Käfer-Cabrios begann 1936 mit einem viersitzigen Karmann-Cabriolet als Prototyp. Zwischen 1938 und 1943 wurden bei Autenrieth in Einzelanfertigung ungefähr ein Dutzend viersitzige Cabriolets hergestellt, die bereits dem späteren Karmann-Cabriolet ähnelten. Dieses wurde 1949 (Karmann-Cabriolet Typ 15) vorgestellt. Änderungen, bis auf die Seitenfenstervergrößerung 1964, wurden immer von der jeweils stärksten und am besten ausgestatteten Limousine übernommen. So fertigte Karmann 1965 den VW 1300 mit 40 PS (29,5 kW), ab 1966 den VW 1500 mit 44 PS (32 kW), ab 1970 den VW 1302 LS mit 50 PS (37 kW) und ab 1972 den VW 1303 LS mit ebenfalls 50 PS (37 kW), die bis 10. Januar 1980 in Produktion blieb.

Zo gezegd, zo gedaan. Ons volgende doel was de Pontestraat in Marke.
Daar nestelden we ons in het veld en konden in het zonnetje beginnen te wachten op de eerste voorziene cargo van die dag op Belgische bodem!
Perfect op tijd rinkelde de overweg en begon de spanning te stijgen. Dat we namelijk een 57'er voor de lens gingen krijgen, dat wisten we al... maar welke ging het zijn??
Wel, het was de 5707 - mooi in het wit! In één klap verdubbelde het aantal 57'ers in mijn verzameling: van één (de HLD 5704 in Ripain - zie hier: flic.kr/p/9wPTZT) naar twee dus!!
Hier zie je de P8826 van Schaarbeek naar Moeskroen met de 2704 en 2712. Wegens de aflevering van de HLE18'en is er een overschot aan HLE27'en gekomen: op bijna alle routes waarbij vroeger een 27 werd gebruikt, wordt nu een 18 gebruikt. Om tegen te gaan dat ze in onbruik geraken, worden ze bijvoorbeeld, zoals hier, gebruikt om een 21 te vervangen.
Der Amphicar 770 ist ein schwimmfähiger PKW der Marke Amphicar. Konstrukteur des Amphibienfahrzeugs war Hans Trippel. Es handelte sich dabei um das weltweit erste zivile Amphibienfahrzeug.
Die Idee für ein ziviles Amphibienfahrzeug kam aus den USA. Man erhoffte sich einen Markt etwa bei Angelsportlern und Sportjägern in der amerikanischen Seenlandschaft aus 300.000 Seen. Tatsächlich wurde ein erheblicher Teil der Produktion in die USA exportiert. Wegen des hohen Preises, der damals etwa dem Wert von zwei VW Käfern entsprach, wurden jedoch nicht genügend Fahrzeuge verkauft. Der Absatz verlief so schleppend, dass noch drei Jahre nach dem Ende der Produktion Neuwagen zu kaufen waren, die auf Halde standen und mit Baujahrsangaben 1964 und 1965 zum verringerten Preis angeboten wurden. Weil die wenigen Liebhaber sich damals preiswert mit Ersatzteilen eindecken konnten, war der Unterhalt günstig.
Zur Stückzahl gibt es unterschiedliche Angaben: angeblich 3000, 3878 oder etwa 4000.
