Heute ist mir aufgefallen, dass ich die 5-Millionen-Marke überschritten habe. Als ich vor etwas mehr als einem Jahr anfing, hier Bilder einzustellen, hätte ich nie erwartet, dass das Ganze solche Ausmaße annimmt.

Daher nehme ich das zum Anlaß, um mich bei allen zu bedanken, die all diese Zeit, zum großen Teil auch regelmäßig, hier vorbeigeschaut haben. Ganz besonders natürlich bei allen, die Bilder favorisiert oder mir Feedback in Form von Kommentaren gegeben haben.

Today I noticed that I exceeded the 5 million mark. When I started to publish my pictures here just over a year ago, I would have never expected the whole thing to take on such dimensions.

That's why I take this as an opportunity to thank everyone who has visited all this time, and to a great extent also on a regular basis. Especially, of course, for anyone who favors pictures or gave me feedback in the form of comments.

Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (Daimler Motor Company, DMG) was a German engine and later automobile manufacturer, in operation from 1890 until 1926.

Founded by Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach, it was based first in Cannstatt (today Bad Cannstatt, a city district of Stuttgart). Daimler died in 1900, and the company moved in 1903 to Stuttgart-Untertürkheim after the original factory was destroyed by fire, and again to Berlin in 1922.

Other factories were located in Marienfelde (near Berlin) and Sindelfingen (next to Stuttgart).

Its roots are in the two auto companies founded by Gottlieb Daimler (DMG) and Karl Benz, which merged in 1926, known as "Daimler-Benz".

Mercedes war die 1889 geborene Tochter des österreichischen Geschäftsmannes Emil Jellinek, einem begeisterten Anhänger des Automobils.

Schon 1897 kaufte er einen ersten Daimler-Wagen, einen 6-PS-Riemenwagen mit Zweizylindermotor. Ab 1898 begann er mit dem Vertrieb von Daimler-Automobilen. Diese meldete er auch zu Rennveranstaltungen an, darunter die „Woche von Nizza“. Den Namen seiner Tochter „Mercedes“ nutzte er dort zunächst als Pseudonym, als Team- oder Fahrernamen.

Erst im Jahr 1900 wurde aus „Mercedes“ auch eine Produktbezeichnung. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt trafen die Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (DMG) und Jellinek eine Vereinbarung über den Vertrieb von Wagen und Motoren. Dabei wurde auch beschlossen, einen neuen Motor zu entwickeln. Er sollte „den Namen Daimler-Mercedes“ tragen. Am 22. Dezember 1900 lieferte die DMG den ersten „Mercedes“ an Jellinek aus. Es war ein von Wilhelm Maybach entwickelter Rennwagen mit einem 35 PS starken Motor. Die Wagen dieses Typs nahmen sehr erfolgreich an der „Woche von Nizza“ im März 1901 teil.

Schließlich wurde der Name „Mercedes“ am 23. Juni 1902 als Warenzeichen angemeldet und am 26. September gesetzlich geschützt. Emil Jellinek erhielt die Erlaubnis, sich „Jellinek-Mercedes“ zu nennen. „Wohl zum ersten Mal trägt der Vater den Namen seiner Tochter“, wurde er dazu später zitiert.

Internationalen Automobil- und Motorrad-Ausstellung (IAMA) im Februar 1933 in Berlin als Nachfolger des Typs 430 (Horch 8) vorstellte. Die ersten Fahrzeuge kamen im Herbst 1933 zur Auslieferung.

Der Cadillac DeVille (auch: Cadillac De Ville, de Ville und deVille) war eine Baureihe der zum US-amerikanischen Automobilkonzern General Motors gehörenden Marke Cadillac.

Der Sedan DeVille blieb bis 1976 eine Hardtop-Limousine. Neue rechteckige Scheinwerfer mit um die Fahrzeugecken greifenden Blinkleuchten erschienen 1975 und der Kühlergrill war nicht mehr eingelassen. Der 7,7-Liter-Motor lief 1975 aus, sodass der 8,2-Liter-V8 der einzig verfügbare Motor war.
