ADAC Oldtimerfahrt Hessen-Thüringen 2017
Der Porsche 911, kurz auch „Neunelfer“, oder nur „Elfer“ genannt, ist der bekannteste Sportwagen von Porsche und gilt als Inbegriff dieser Marke.
Für das Modelljahr 1974 wurde der 911 grundlegend überarbeitet. (Beginnend mit dem Modelljahr 1968, der A-Serie, wurde jeder Jahrgang bis 1979 (M-Serie; der Buchstabe I wurde nicht vergeben) mit einem fortlaufenden Buchstaben des Alphabets bezeichnet. Der Jahrgang 1980 hatte die Bezeichnung A-Programm). Obwohl strenggenommen nur die Fahrzeuge des Modelljahres 1974 die „G-Serie“ bilden, werden allgemein sämtliche 911er der Jahrgänge 1974 bis 1989 als „G-Serie“ beziehungsweise „G-Modell“ bezeichnet.

Sixteen Harrier aircraft are pictured flying in a diamond formation to marke the retirement of the famous aircraft after 41 years of service.
A formation of 16 Harriers took off from RAF Cottesmore and took to the skies of Lincolnshire.
Brought into service in 1969 and based at RAF Wittering, this British aircraft was designed to take off and land both vertically and on a short runway.
Well known for its role in the Falklands War, the Harrier went on to serve in many other conflicts including in Bosnia and Iraq in the 1990s.
The RAF and Royal Navy Harrier squadrons joined forces in 2000 to form Joint Force Harrier, based at RAF Cottesmore. These combined Harrier squadrons served in Sierra Leone, the second Gulf War and most recently Afghanistan.

Die Marke hat ihren Ursprung in einem besonders großen Orienttabak-Anbau in Nordgriechenland im Jahr 1923, der von Reemtsma aufgekauft wurde.
Infolge eines Streiks gelang es Reemtsma im Jahr 1923, die gesamte Ernte des in "Bulgarien" angebauten Orienttabaks preisgünstig aufzukaufen. Der Tabak wurde 1924 Basis für die neue, von Hans Domizlaff geschaffene Marke Ernte 23, die seit 1931 geschützt wurde.
But 'R 6' - just like 'Ernte 23' - was to have a tenacious life. After several relaunches they became the most successful brands before and after world war II. Now they are Reemtsma's oldest brands on the European market, and 'Ernte 23' is still in the Top Ten in Germany without any advertising.
Ernte 23 cigarettes have been among the most popular cigarettes for more than sixty years.

Heute ist mir aufgefallen, dass ich die 5-Millionen-Marke überschritten habe. Als ich vor etwas mehr als einem Jahr anfing, hier Bilder einzustellen, hätte ich nie erwartet, dass das Ganze solche Ausmaße annimmt.
Daher nehme ich das zum Anlaß, um mich bei allen zu bedanken, die all diese Zeit, zum großen Teil auch regelmäßig, hier vorbeigeschaut haben. Ganz besonders natürlich bei allen, die Bilder favorisiert oder mir Feedback in Form von Kommentaren gegeben haben.

Today I noticed that I exceeded the 5 million mark. When I started to publish my pictures here just over a year ago, I would have never expected the whole thing to take on such dimensions.

Der Cadillac DeVille (auch: Cadillac De Ville, de Ville und deVille) war eine Baureihe der zum US-amerikanischen Automobilkonzern General Motors gehörenden Marke Cadillac.
Der Sedan DeVille blieb bis 1976 eine Hardtop-Limousine. Neue rechteckige Scheinwerfer mit um die Fahrzeugecken greifenden Blinkleuchten erschienen 1975 und der Kühlergrill war nicht mehr eingelassen. Der 7,7-Liter-Motor lief 1975 aus, sodass der 8,2-Liter-V8 der einzig verfügbare Motor war.

Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (Daimler Motor Company, DMG) was a German engine and later automobile manufacturer, in operation from 1890 until 1926.
Founded by Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach, it was based first in Cannstatt (today Bad Cannstatt, a city district of Stuttgart). Daimler died in 1900, and the company moved in 1903 to Stuttgart-Untertürkheim after the original factory was destroyed by fire, and again to Berlin in 1922.

Mercedes war die 1889 geborene Tochter des österreichischen Geschäftsmannes Emil Jellinek, einem begeisterten Anhänger des Automobils.
Schon 1897 kaufte er einen ersten Daimler-Wagen, einen 6-PS-Riemenwagen mit Zweizylindermotor. Ab 1898 begann er mit dem Vertrieb von Daimler-Automobilen. Diese meldete er auch zu Rennveranstaltungen an, darunter die „Woche von Nizza“. Den Namen seiner Tochter „Mercedes“ nutzte er dort zunächst als Pseudonym, als Team- oder Fahrernamen.
Erst im Jahr 1900 wurde aus „Mercedes“ auch eine Produktbezeichnung. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt trafen die Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (DMG) und Jellinek eine Vereinbarung über den Vertrieb von Wagen und Motoren. Dabei wurde auch beschlossen, einen neuen Motor zu entwickeln. Er sollte „den Namen Daimler-Mercedes“ tragen. Am 22. Dezember 1900 lieferte die DMG den ersten „Mercedes“ an Jellinek aus. Es war ein von Wilhelm Maybach entwickelter Rennwagen mit einem 35 PS starken Motor. Die Wagen dieses Typs nahmen sehr erfolgreich an der „Woche von Nizza“ im März 1901 teil.
Schließlich wurde der Name „Mercedes“ am 23. Juni 1902 als Warenzeichen angemeldet und am 26. September gesetzlich geschützt. Emil Jellinek erhielt die Erlaubnis, sich „Jellinek-Mercedes“ zu nennen. „Wohl zum ersten Mal trägt der Vater den Namen seiner Tochter“, wurde er dazu später zitiert.

I'm neither a typical collector of stamps, nor a stamp dealer. I'm only a stamp photograph. I'm fascinated of the fine close-up structures which are hidden in this small stamp-pictures. Please don't ask of the worth of these stamps - the most ones have a worth of a few cents or still less.
By the way, I wanna say thank you to all flickr users who have sent me stamps! Great! Thank you! Someone sent me 3 or 5 stamps, another one sent me more than 20 stamps in a letter. It's everytime a great surprise for me and I'm everytime happy to get letters with stamps inside from you!
