Maple burning bright
In the darkness of my dreams
I see fires in the night
- notes from my journal
I am using my lensball for the first time here. I bought it two years ago but I never think to shooting with it. I thought of this idea with my backyard tree and gave it a shot. My maple tree still has lots of leaves left on it but that'll change soon. We woke up to some snow today! The seasons are changing and I am not a fan of the cold winter weather like I was as a kid...lol
The ever favorite shot at the Portland Japanese Gardens. My first time here. Lots of rain and people.

I went back to the beginning of October to find this mountain maple leaf photo from a rainy day in St Charles Canyon, Idaho. There was so much wonderful fall color this year that I will have to post a photo occasionally.

Beautiful pockets of maples are spread out in various places in Arizona's Oak Creek Canyon. I photographed these a couple of days ago which were a bit past peak, but still beautiful. High winds the next couple of days will most likely end the colorful show in this location.
