I found this beautiful damselfly in Diomides Botanical Garden.

 

Early morning stack based on 29 exposures under natural light.

On this one look like the sea is close to my feet, but is just only a long exposure covering a coming wave. Calculate exposure with a handheld light meter, by measuring the darker sky and the ground below. (Spanish: Otra maravillosa mañana esperando por el amanecer. Esta es el resultado de exponer una ola que se aproximaba. Calcule la exposición con un medidor de luz de mano).

Technical Info: Film camera: Mamiya RB67, Lens: Sekor C 50mm (like a 24mm lens on a full frame), Aperture: f/32, Shutter speed: 15 sec, ISO: 100, Film: Kodak Ektar 100, Filters: Polarizer, tripod: Manfrotto 190XPROB, head: 496RC2, Process: Scan on Epson V600, then process colors on Topaz Adjust 5. On Photoshop CC was able to remove dust spots and to add more contrast. with a curve layer. On Lightroom 5 fine tune the exposure. Location: New Smyrna Beach, Florida Taken: on January 31, 2015.

While looking for a picture angle at my favorite Florida beach, found this footstep on the sand close to the coquina rocks. (Spanish: Mientras buscaba algo para retratar en mi playa favorita, encontré esta huella cerca de las rocas).

Esta madrugada (15-04-2014) tuvo lugar el primer eclipse lunar de una tétrada que nos va a estar acompañando este 2014 y 2015. En esta toma se puede apreciar la el eclipse en su etapa de Totalidad (4:45 AM), tal y como se podía ver desde el patio de mi casa. La estrella azul, ubicada a la izquierda de la luna, recibe el nombre de Spica y es la estrella más brillante de la constelación de Virgo, y una de las mas brillantes del cielo nocturno.

 

ENGLISH CAPTION: "Bloody moon" This morning (15-04-2014) took place the first lunar eclipse of a tetrad that will be accompanying us during this 2014 and 2015. On this shot you can see the eclipse in its totality phase (4:45 a.m.) as it could be seen from my backyard. The Blue Star, located to the left of the moon, is called Spica and is the brightest star in the Virgo constellation, and one of the brightest stars in the southern night sky.

La Vía Láctea y la Nube Mayor de Magallanes se ocultan detrás del puente de ladrillos que cruza sobre el tramo medio del Arroyo Buñirigo. Esta toma nocturna es una panorámica en mosaico compuesta por 22 tomas individuales capturadas a lo largo de casi una hora de trabajo y luego combinadas durante el pos-procesamiento.

 

ENGLISH CAPTION: "Buñirigo at night" The milkyway and the Large Magallanic Cloud sets behind the Buñirigo Creek brick-made bridge. This night shot is a stitched panoramic mosaic of 22 individual frames captured during 1 hour of work and then merged during post-processing.

Premiers essais avec le Canon Eos 250D

Vista otoñal de la Cascada de la Vieja Usina en Caviahue (Provincia de Neuquén, Argentina). Durante el otoño el bosque andino patagónico adquiere un color rojizo espectacular, dandole un marco inmejorable a este salto de agua ubicado al pie del Volcán Copahue, Patagonia Argentina.

 

ENGLISH CAPTION: "Among lengas and ñires" This autumn view of the "Vieja Usina" waterfall is located on the hillsides of the Copahue volcano, close to the Caviahue town (Neuquén Province, Argentinian Patagonia). During this season, the Andean patagonian forest (also known as Valdivian temperate rain forest) turn into beautiful orange and red colors, giving a perfect framework for lanscape photography.

Con sus casi 7 metros de altura, la cascada Cifuentes, es el mayor de los saltos del Río Quequen Salado, y también la mayor cascada de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (Argentina). Este hermoso río, lleno de cascadas, rápidos y saltos de agua, recorre la provincia de norte a sur y sirve de límite entre los partidos de Coronel Dorrego y Tres Arroyos.

 

ENGLISH CAPTION: "The roar of clear water..." With almost 7 m of height, the Cifuentes Waterfall, is the tallest waterfall in the Quequen Salado River, and also on the entire Buenos Aires Province (a region characterized by large flat grasslands called "Pampas"). This beautiful river, full of rapids and small waterfalls, crosses the Pampas from North to South and serves as limit between the Coronel Dorrego and Tres Arroyos Counties.

Paisaje nocturno en los alrededores de la caseta de señales próxima al desvío Arditi-Payró (Km. 92) del Ferrocarril General Roca (Partido de Magdalena, Provincia de Buenos Aires). Hacia la derecha de la foto, las luces de la ciudad de La Plata tiñen de rojo al cielo y las nubes, dándole un aspecto surreal a la escena.

 

ENGLISH CAPTION: "Beneath the starlights..." Nightscape of an old and abandoned railroad signal shed located nearby the Julio Arditi station (Magdalena City, Buenos Aires Province). Toward the right side of the photo, the lights of La Plata city stained the sky and clouds in a surreal red color, giving a strange look to the scene.

Este hermoso puente en arco, construido íntegramente en ladrillos de barro, se encuentra ubicado sobre el tramo medio del Arroyo Buñirigo, en las proximidades del paraje Julio Arditi (Partido de Magdalena, Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina). En esta toma nocturna, el reflejo circular del puente se combina con los arcos trazados por las estrellas (Startrail) producto de la rotación de la Tierra. Esta toma fue realizada con una única exposición de aproximadamente 10 minutos (623 segundos) en una noche muy fria y sin nada de viento.

 

ENGLISH CAPTION: "Circles at night..." This beautiful brick-made arch bridge is located on the middle course of the Buñirigo creek, in the vicinity of the July Arditi train station (Magdalena county, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina). On this nightscape, the circular reflection of the bridge perfectly merges with the curved path of the strars (Startrail) during this ten minute-long single exposure on a very cold and windless night.

Vista panorámica nocturna del Volcán Tromen (Patagonia Argentina). Este estratovolcán de 3.978 m de altura, se encuentra ubicado dentro del Parque Provincial El Tromen, y sus coladas (algunas muy recientes) llegaron a pocos kilómetros de la localidad de Buta Ranquil, Provincia de Neuquén (Argentina).

 

ENGLISH CAPTION: "Tromen at night" Panoramic nigth view of the Tromen Volcano (Argentinean Patagonia). This 3.978 m high composite volcano is located within the Tromen State Park, and its lava flows almost reached the nearby town of Buta Ranquil (Neuquén Province, Argentina).
