an earlier shot from the summit of catbells in the lake district, uk. some lovely hues as the sun rose catching some moody clouds above skiddaw and blencathra.

This is the back of the memorial. I couldn't shot the front with my mini tripod (manfrotto pxi evo 2) : strange perspective with the very low angle of view
Inscribed on the ramparts of the Memorial are the names of 11,285 Canadian soldiers who were posted "missing, presumed dead" in France.
Thanks for all favs and comments !

Adult birds in summer have short red legs and a short black bill (small and stubby, meausuring 22–25 mm from the feathers, decidedly shorter than the head), a black neck (often with a pale gray back) and belly, very dark grey back, with a white rump and light grey (almost white) tail, which often looks 'square' in juveniles. People wait, either for comet NEOWISE, or for the sun to set.
While waiting to photograph comet C/2020 F3 NEOWISE, I took some time to test out my gear on a sunset. The hill at the centre of McLennan Park, colloquially known as Mount Trashmore, is one of the higher points within the city of Kitchener's boundaries, and is a popular spot for people to watch the sunset.

This Manfrotto tripod was bought by my parents in the beginning of the 90's with the video camera on it. I remember it quite well from my childhood and now it has been given a new life as I bought a DSLR recently. Strange how some things seem to be affected by time and others seemingly not.
Beautiful hike with my pops yesterday at the peak district ,this shot was taken during a break in the clouds waiting for the moment to light up the landscape.
i was unsure if it was worth going out this morning but once i opened my eyes i couldnt sleep, so ventured out to a place that i struggle with at the best of times.the weather was as it usually is when i land here.plenty of cloud, choppy water and no colour what so ever. i wasnt going to waste my early start so made the most of what was in front of me.

I am currently involved in a charitable photographic project for the Samaritans and it would be great if people could check out this link. There is some great photography and rewards for people who donate towards the project.
another shot from on way up to lingmoor fell. i used the wall and stream as leading lines to the tarn.although no light initially came i really like the mood of the images i took during sunrise.
i had a drive upto honister pass yesterday before work as the fog looked to be pretty thick and new it make make for an interesting scene. upon arriving the fog was starting to lift but was still lingering at a slightly higher altitude. i really enjoy seeing the details of the water caused by the slightly long shutter speed as you can see just how the water carves its way through the landscape.

an edit from a morning spent around derwent water a while ago.otter island really suits the black and white treatment on this occasion as there was plenty of contrast in frame

ive walked passed these trees i dont know how many times and they have never really appealed to me. they normally conflict with the fells behind and make for a busy composition, but with the amount of cloud cover you get some really good contrast and separation.
I was camping near Buttermere in some absolutely superb weather. I couldn't miss the opportunity to get to some high ground for the sunset. At about 9.30pm I arrived at Honister slate mine to arrange my composition for the sunset. To get the sunstar I did two separate exposures, one at F25 and one at F8. I then merged these in LR and finished the edit in Colour Efex Pro 4.
Complete luck that I found this place, was on the way to South Stack, Holyhead and stopped for breakfast and lucky enough to take a wrong turn.
