Day 47 - Sleeping between sneezing...

Day 123.

A bit of catch up after being at deaths door with the old manflu for the last few days. So here's Nicole after pushing a boy off his scooter and taking his helmet, that's my girl.

Every couple of months I get a cold and one of the worst aspects of the cold is my inability to think with anything more than monosyllabic thoughts.

After-thought: Why does monosyllabic have so many syllables?

Contains no artificial comfort or sympathy

170:365 - Apologies, this was done whilst suffering from an extremely bad case of manflu

and me being the kind sympathetic person I am went out shopping and left him at home!

:-D

(And this isn't even my time, this was the time after I staggered over the finish line, them wobbled towards this saying 'is that a clock? Is that time under an hour?!' My chip time was 58:01 and gun time 58.39 :-D)

I thought it was achievable, but not today. I ran 9k in 56 mins on Friday so was expecting to do it in about 1:02 or 03.

This is described as a flat course and good for beginners and PBs. But this is a Yorkshire version of flat, so there were some hills! Luckily running parkrun has prepared me for them :-)

Mr C did it in 1:07 but he has had manflu and not run in about two weeks, so proud of him too :-)

Finally gave in to the manflu that's been brewing for a couple of days. Very lazy day for me today with much snoozing on the sofa and home rededials

Salmon, Fennel, Old Bay, Eggs, Lemon juice, Potato mash, Pistachio nuts, Kale, Parsley, Queensland nut oil, Hollandaise sauce, Butter, Dijon mustard

G'day food lovers

Tonight I made baked salmon, Old Bay Hollandaise sauce, potato mash, and kale chips.

The salmon was baked for 15 minutes at 200 °C.

I made stick blender Old Bay Hollandaise according to the recipe you'll find on the blog post later.

The kale was baked along with the salmon after I'd squirted it with Queensland nut oil and seasoned it with iodised salt and freshly cracked black pepper.

The potato mash was cooked with microwave radiation and garnished with pistachio nuts and parsley.

Have a good one. This is the last video for a week. Catch you later.

Man down with Manflu so a day of feet up and tele watching !

I think I might have a touch of (man?) flu...

Felt a bit rough this morning, by lunchtime my arms and legs were aching. I really don't need to be ill right now either.

sore throat and how easily it can paralyse.

A glourious early autumn day, almost better weather than we have had all summer, sadly missed, the cold has been officially upgraded to man-flu! Lasted most of a ten hour shift, but by mid-afternoon I took the opportunity to cut and run, destination the bed!
