Ducked up the hill to Bowral yesterday as the weather wes perfect.. Had a walk amongst the tulips and a Devonshire Tea at the CWA ..
Well that was yesterday ... came down with a pretty full on headcold last night - it's cold and blowing a gale out there today ...

i have a cold...grrrr! ...not only do i have a cold, i also have an infection in a tooth which is making it very very painful to even talk!! *sniffle, ouch!*
sadly the unsharp selfies seem to be becoming a habit...i could have redone it but was only fit for lying down in a darkened room after the activity of taking this one.
Had to wrap up this morning been suffering from manflu this week!

One of the most pain in the arse joiners I've had to do. merging shots from 3 different people shot over 2 days, different lighting, colour balance etc etc....click on original to see the whole thing. I could have done it neater, but manflu dictates that you get what you're given. Cheers to Bravo, Carl and Phed for the flicks.
Thursday tea. Leftover slow cooker brisket with leafy greens and tomatoes and a creamy sauce.

Brisket, Kale sprouts, Cabbage, Kale, Cream, Garlic butter, Tomatoes
G'day food lovers
Tonight I sliced some of the brisket I cooked in the slow cooker on Sunday.
I reheated the brisket in a frypan with some rice bran oil. I then added in some red cabbage, sugarloaf cabbage, green kale, and kale sprouts. I put the lid on the frypan to get the vegetables to cook through and wilt a little.
Once the vegetables had gone limp, I added some garlic butter, then some cream, and then stirred in some horseradish cream.
I turned the heat off and tossed in and stirred through some halved cherry tomatoes.
Have a good one.
Smelsey spare bedroom railway has progressed now with a bit of tree planting while I have been stuck indoors with raging manflu
Evening all!
Good news - I'm feeling much brighter today. So it definitely can't have been manflu as I didn't moan enough and I got over it far too quickly. Phew!
I have spent far too much time this evening wandering aimlessly around the house looking for a photo. H and Matt don't even bat an eyelid any more at seeing me standing on the kitchen work top trying to photograph a vase from above (it didn't work out), lying on the floor photographing a shoe (that didn't work out either), or pulling the petals off a dead rose (et voila - this shot).
Wednesday tomorrow, which is one of my days off (hooray!) so I have decided I will either be good and go for a nice long walk, or be bad and go shopping and take myself out for lunch.
Which one will I go for, I wonder?....

Guess who's got a stinking cold and a dry cough and painful everything and might even die but you don't care.
Finally got my camera back out, after the manflu. Spent the day walking in Clumber Park, finishing off with a nice hot bowl of soup in the coffee shop.
This shot epitomises how I've been feeling lately. 'Manflu' and cold sores, plus a facial injury caused when I deleriously fell out of bed! Its not as bad as it seems, most of the effects are through using 'Niks Filters' detail extractor on maximum.! I'm much better looking in real life!

Thursday tea. MEATER™ made chicken and cauliflower.

Chicken, Cauliflower, Avocado
G'day food lovers
I'm again not feeling terribly hungry today. I got home still feeling crook so I stuck my MEATER™ wireless meat probe deep into a chicken thigh and cooked it according to the MEATER™ app. At the same time I cooked some cauliflower florets.
I served the meal with some avocado.
A combination of manflu and lunchtime meetings meant I was left to take some photos at home. Imagine my surprise when I opened my cheerios to find Danbo staring out at me!
Monday tea. Baked salmon and kale sprouts.

Salmon, Kale sprouts, Almonds
G'day food lovers
I ate too many carbs today in the form of RSPCA cupcakes. I needed a light tea. I tossed the salmon, kale sprouts, and almond flakes in rice bran oil and then baked it for 15 minutes at 200 °C (400 °F).
I think ManFlu will take me tonight. It's been nice knowing you all.
Bye...

phooey! i still have the cold but it is being helped considerably by lashings of Pea Soup with buttered bread to dip in YUM!...tis unusual that my body seems to be fighting the bugs off.......be gone bugs, be gone!
Either yesterday or today (it having been early morning, it's hard for me to remember much), I heard about the winter vomiting bug which is apparently back. It just goes to show that one shouldn't listen to the radio in case one gets infected... by lunchtime today I was feeling a bit nauseous, and by this evening I felt so sick I couldn't find a single position (sitting, standing, lying) which was comfortable for more than about 10 or 15 minutes. Ugh. Add to that quite a fever, and it's not a happy mix at all. I couldn't even stand up long enough to set the camera up for this (gorillapod mounted on the radiator), but had to sit on the floor in order not to faint. At least I haven't actually spewed anything... though it sort of feels like if I could it would bring relief.
The advice on the radio was to maintain basic hygiene (difficult, in this house, to be honest) and to sit tight, since it goes within 24-48 hours. Oh, no, I can't face that long of feeling so seasick. All I've been able to manage since this afternoon has been small sips of water or peppermint tea. :(
The landlord's choice of duvet cover (mine is now packed, ready for the move) is not exactly helping with the nausea issue, I must say.
Weirdly, sucking a Strepsil (throat sweet with vitamin C and plenty of sugar) seems to have helped a lot with the nausea. Wonder why.
Today is the first day I've ventured out after being more-or-less bed-ridden with ManFlu for several days.
They're building flood defences in Warrington (although no-one can remember it ever flooding) and I stood in the rain to get this shot.
Perhaps I'll have real flu now?
I was so glad to see that the theme for this week was socks! I was close to resorting to a sock shot today anyway as I am hanging out of my arse after drinking too much last night!
I have never felt this bad in my life and feel that i'm in the middle of 2 day hangover! I am never drinking again!
I had started to think that booze was good for curing manflu but too much booze (and a lack of food) isn't........
Luckily I dont start work until 2pm tomorrow and I can have a long lie in!
See Al, we all do it......
I have the ailment known to all as "Man Flu" and for the past two days have had nights of very broken sleep and deary days.......
I didn't however buy this whisky of choice, it was my leaving present from my last job.........
it does excatly what it says on the label though
Project 365 - Take one photo each day.
Been feeling a bit under the weather today with a touch of the man-flu.
Somehow managed to get the worst case of man flu yesterday even though it was int the mid to high forties again. Got back from work and just crashed and then had the realization at about 9pm that i hadn't taken a shot of the day. In my most pathetic man flu voice I called down to Han to get the camera and took this. Han thinks it should be called Death as I always have the worst flu's known to man but I'm sure all the men in the group will understand that we just suffer far more when we're ill!

Been feeling a bit rough today, so here's some cold + flu capsules. Figured no-one would want to see the snotty hankies.

don't ask. Nick's picked up something called man-flu. I wasn't sure and I was pretty scared he wouldn't pull through so I asked Jeff what it was. She said not to worry and it was fairly prevalent among twenty something males ... something about underdeveloped capacity for pain, still hanging around on the belief that someone will take care of them at the merest sign of a sniffle. She kept going on like that for a while until I gave up and headed for the local apothecary. Now, I'm no fan of these places, in fact, I'm pretty wary of any kind of environment that attracts ill people (I find myself constantly dodging coughs and sneezes) but Nick's pretty much my 'Goose' in this whole situation, so I've got to look out for the guy.
ManFlu, a new vitamin, mineral and herbal extract enhanced ‘booster shot’, is lemon, lime and honey flavour. It contains 1,250% of the recommended daily amount of vitamin C, plus Echinacea and zinc.
This would of been one of my 365 days if I hadn't taken the awesome one with snot on my nose lol NICE......
41/365. Being sick with manflu has it's benefits: a delicious hot whiskey is one of them!!
