Carnation Milk: Here Again .. That Carnation Velvet Blend - Tuna in evaporated milk, plopped in noodle nests. Eat with a spoon, or with the fingers, or just deposit on tree branch and run away?

Cheez Whiz ‘Em: Turn Vegetables Into A Treat - The hot messes continue – with piping Cheez Whiz over onions. We notice that Mom doesn’t seem to be in the picture; perhaps she turned herself in to the local food authorities.

… yes, there must be one iconic foodstuff that spells ‘Aloha’ loud and clear ….

Campbell’s Tomato Soup - Fire the food stylist! - Because at first glance we shouldn’t think ‘Purina’ …

Note to self: must Google ‘famous cooking authority’ Alice Bradley, whose1921 recipe book offers a 'pleasing variety' and who formally refers to walnuts as 'walnut meats'. One thing's for sure: she's classier than we are.

'What's My Name?'. Won't you tune in?

Mazola Salad Oil: Barbequed Franks and Noodles - This week’s theme is: new frontiers! Shelf Life hasn’t encountered wieners and noodles before … and we’ll probably leave things that way.

Kraft Was On The Table - In this ad from a 1971 issue of Seventeen magazine, nothing says France like Kraft products, eg. marshmallows, salad dressing, and cheese. Note kooky, unthreatening hippie kids and modern art spoof.

This ad is going on our next Christmas card. Plus: There are few sentences in the world better than ‘Shape with buttered hands into Clown Pops, Snowmen, Toy Animals, and other ‘Merry Treats’ shown above.’

Editorial/magazine redesign for PileBuck magazine, the international pile drivers' deep foundations and marine contractor's magazine

300-page marketing catalog for Flatwire, a Southwire brand featuring highlights from all Flatwire media presence including radio & television spots, print & web articles and awards. Workflow required large amounts of OCR, web archive mining, content tagging and automatic content placement via scripting.

Deliciously Dressed Salads: Ann Page Mayonnaise at A&P – Look out – the mayonnaise has gone rogue!! Not content with lurking in every layer of this ‘glamorous’ and ‘taste-thrilling’ miniature sandwich loaf, the A&P mayo has run amok and coated every square inch of bread. Awesome overkill.

Monarch Tea-Bisk Dumpling Mix - Terror for dinner! The closer we get, the more unappetizing it looks. Sometimes bigger isn’t necessarily better.

I used an obviously Latina woman draped in an American flag to symbolize the issue's cover story about immigration. Hiring Miami photographer, Dirk Franke, we shot the model in a white dress with a sheet pinned to her side for the billowing fabric. Then we took many shots of an American flag blown by fans for reference. My amazing retoucher, Josh Clark and I went back and forth many times to make the flag as realistic as possible. All the hard work was worth it every time we were asked where we ever found that flag dress.

Miracle Whip Limelight Chicken En Gelée - Did you know that while gazing at this ad Michael Crichton got the idea for Jurassic Park? Okay, that’s not true. But it could be.

Cover image is typically a local image of various families or family activities. Our goal was to redesign the logo and create a simple cover design which can house the busy cover artwork and logos of organizations endorsed by Army Family 101.
