The project idea for this was to take our designs and see how well we could incorporate them into a full fashion jacket, and somehow (not surprisingly) that turned into a full-on heavy stitched steampunk project!

A design I created. I'm simply calling it 'bird family' although i really wanted to call it "Birds of a Feather". I hope my 9-yr old likes it.
These are not mine. I'm starting to upload customer photos that don't have flickr accounts yet, so we can share in the embroidered glories of everyone..
Check out this whole zombie series. Zombie potholders all snug inside a fanged bunny holder. What more could a girl want?

Some stitching I did just for fun. The photo doesn't do it justice as the blues are much more kingfisher turquoise than the photo shows. Its digitized embroidery which took very little time to do then I bunched a lot of the same stitch file together and stitched it so they overlapped to get a build up of texture.
This was my second butterfly art piece. I made it for the Joondalup Art Award 2010, textile category. I wanted the background darker than the original and also the butterflies brighter.

Christmas Town is FINISHED! For me, this was a BIG project. It took a little over 2 months from start to finish and I worked on it most days. I love how it turned out and am happy it is complete before Christmas. It is on the wall and will stay there now until after Christmas, with the exception of taking it with me to show it off when I get together with my sewing/embroidery friends this week-end.
