I'd love to have one of these of my own! This machine has some ecclectic choices...RC Cherry Cola, Squirt, A&W Cream Soda, and Country Time Pink Lemonade.
As traffic zips North and South through the Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza, the new "zipper" machine sits silent waiting for the early morning to roll around.
This new machine is part of the Golden Gate Bridge & Highway Transportation Districts idea of making the lane transition easier between commute times. In the middle of the night, this massive machine will make its way to Marina Blvd., and start moving a solid row of barriers over a lane to the East. This is so that Southbound traffic in the morning will have a full 4 lanes to get into the city faster and cause less backups. Shortly after the morning commute, this machine will move again, making the lanes even for the afternoon, and then move the zipper over again for the evening commute North.

I've never seen one of these before, but you actually have to put the room key into the ice machine before you can get ice.
Scavenger Challenge – July 2018 - Machines and mechanisms
July's theme is "machinery and mechanisms," a pretty broad field. There are a couple of must-haves for your collage, but otherwise, you have free range. Please note that electronics do not qualify as "machines" or "mechanisms." Your subject must contain moving parts.
1. Heavy equipment (cranes, bulldozers, tractors, etc.)
2. A close-up (watch mechanism or something along those lines)
3. A monochrome image (try to capture an "industrial" feel)
4. Something rusty
As you may already know, at the moment I am on the road for most of my time. Most of these images are what I see while travelling. Take care on the roads friends......

This 1969 catalog describes the versatile Unimat "Universal Machine Tool" and accessories. This 5-in-1 machine can be a universal drill press, precision metal lathe, polisher/grinder, vertical mill, and surface grinder. Very cool tool!!!
I am not sure what they are, so machines is as good a title as any.

I work at the Australian Technology Park. It has been converted from old Railway workshops, and there are many artefacts from its former use around.

I marked a red line on the flywheel and illuminated it with my home-made LED stroboscope. The motor was powered by my bench PSU, and the preset on the motor speed control PCB adjusted to get the right speed.
Since the unit is used only for speech recording, this should be near enough. I can always re-set it later if I get a frequency test tape.
Using a popular Sew Mama Sew tutorial, I made myself a sewing machine cover. I used 28 different fabrics from my scrap pile to make it.
