My entry for the PlushTeam Steampunk Challenge.
Hand sculpted foam core covered in a variety of up-cycled upholstery fabrics (sourced from leftover samples from interior decorators that were headed for the trash). Clock hands serve as sewing needles, metal bobbins, a necklace chain, and the mechanics of a wind up duck make up the inner workings inside the panel, and a pressure gauge accompanies some bobbins and doodads at the top. The side wheel is a faucet spigot.
Measures 13"x9.5"x6.5", and is the same size as a standard sewing machine.
You have to love the vending machines they have in the public square. It was at the pharmacist's, to be fair.

Machine embroidery samples on chiffon seem to have a life of their own and never seem to be just where you left them.
One way of ensuring they stay put is to mount them temporarily on to mount board using double sided tape.
Today I machine quilted this quilt. I am really going to have a hard time giving this quilt back to it's owner! I LOVE how it turned out!. I will share pictures of the front when I have better lighting.
An old factory in Dachau, Germany. From 1919 until 1998, cardboard was produced there. Then it was sold to a company which made car parts and abandoned the buildings in 2004.

Left to Right. Thing with all the wheels is a mechanical press, a Steam hammer in the middle, and the low box with the glowy rectangle is a gas forge for heating the metal.
Part of a strange old machine sitting outside in Toronto's Distillery District. I'm not sure what it is, but it probably had something to do with brewing whiskey.

I have seen this machine practically every day for the past year and a half and have longed to get a shot of it. After I purchased my camera I still wasn't able to as the kit lens wasn't exactly adequate. Well...no more. Here it is at 300mm. Not the most interesting photo to most, I'm sure, but it is so peculiar to see this odd machine sitting in this huge field day after day. So here it is.
