Our small Micro Machines collection. 2nd row to the last row is from another brand that copied Micro Machines. I can't remember the brand name though.
The conqueror of Le Mans, the Jaguar C-Type was a very simple machine, but a world beater in speed. Build a lightweight chassis and frame, then fit it with an engine that could distort the laws of space and time. The result was an average speed of well over 100mph.
Only 53 of these cars were built, and this one is owned by a very good friend of mine, sounding just as good as it looked. Other C-Types have been known to go for well over £2 million, so they're not exactly bargain classics.

My newest machine is called THE PISTON STEPPER. It is a reworking of the idea for my first marble machine. It is made using cherry, maple, yellowheart, and walnut. Each part of the machine is handmade from real wood, cut to fit, tested, and finished for optimal performance.

We got a new donation over at The Geek Group this week - Haas TM1 and TL1 machines. (CNC lathe and mill) This gave us the opportunity to re-arrange the machine shop... I think it's quite pretty! In the adjacent room is the SR-100, a CNC router table.
On this day 13 February 1913 a retailer declared that a copying device good enough for the Hague Tribunal should be more than adequate for a Wellington government department.
Mr Chas Walker of Wellington’s Remington and Roneo Agency was responding to a complaint from the Department of Internal Affairs that the Roneo Litho Machine wasn’t up to the task of producing the volume of official documents required. The duplicating machine worked by forcing ink through stencils and was used worldwide until the emergence of photocopiers in the 1960s. Walker was very keen to keep the department’s business and offered Under Secretary J Hislop special tuition in the use of the machine. “The Hague Tribunal always use the Roneo Dup for the very purpose that you have in view, namely evidence for Counsel and they go through about 250,000 copies on the Roneo in a few days,” he wrote. Hislop replied that “satisfactory arrangements have now been made” and the file was closed.
