Mason bees emerge from their nests in the spring. These solitary bees lay an egg in the whole and then block it up with clay where it grows until the following spring. Excellent native pollinators! This is the first time I've been able to get pictures of them emerging.

Mason Harry Reynolds, son of William Martin and Estella Gertrude “Stella” (Bulford) Reynolds, was born in 24 Oct 1903 in New York and died 1 Jun 1939 in Los Angeles, California. On 15 Jan 1934, in New Lebanon, New York, he married Alice M. Riley (1903-1987). They are buried in Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy, Massachusetts. They had no children. RPPC.
The Mason High School Marching Band takes the field Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Bands of America Grand National Championships at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis, Ohio. Ninety-two bands performed in the national competition. Mason was one of 12 bands selected to compete in the Grand National finals. They finished in 10th place overall. Provided photo
