Do tempo: Passado-presente-futuro.
Da vida: Nascimento-existência-morte.
Da Família: Pai-mãe-filho.
Da Kabbalah Hebraica:Coroa-sabedoria-inteligência.
Do Egito:Osíris-Ísis-Horus.
O mais conhecido: Liberdade-Igualdade-Fraternidade.
Existem outras simbologias... as quais só os iniciados tem entendimeno, por ser conhecimento passado "de boca a ouvido".
I recently was hired out to take some photos for the band Mason from West Palm Beach, FL
They were playing as "Fight in you" but decided to change their name back and start adding their old songs to their setlist (which I was very excited about)
Big ups to Randy Hernz - www.flickr.com/photos/yostuhfoo/ for helping on this shoot!
Check out the band at www.myspace.com/wearemason

After a cold snap we have spring like conditions and this male Blue Mason Bee hatched today. A bit messy cause he hasn't had a chance to clean himself off. After warming up on my finger he took flight.
Tech Specs: Canon 80D (F11, 1/60, ISO 100) + a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens (over 2x) + a diffused MT-26EX-RT with a Kaiser adjustable flash shoe on the "A" head (the key), E-TTL metering, -1/3 FEC). This is a single, uncropped, frame taken hand held. In post I used Topaz Denoise AI and Clarity in that order. I dragged the shutter to help expose the natural light in the background.
At the moment the rescue group I help out have ben inundated with kittens that we have to say no at the moment due to not having enough room or carers. so I hope little Mason finds a home soon.
*This is not one of the tabby brothers but another kitten from another litter.

Mason was one of a four-kitten litter gifted to us in 2005 by a little pregnant stray we named Coconut. Sixteen years of wonderful memories would follow. Thank you, Coconut.

Penny Mason is a Launceston artist whose work has spanned four decades. She is devoted to exploring the idea of landscape within the context of Tasmanian history. Colour is a key factor in her abstract landscape works as can be seen in this beautiful painting, "Figuring Presence" (2013). It is an exquisite watercolour on paper.
She is not to be confused with the artist Penny Mason from Birmingham in the UK. Very different styles.
With no work in Effingham, CN A408 passes through the town of Mason, Illinois as it rolls on down towards Centralia. Mason was named for Roswell B. Mason, former Chief Engineer of the Illinois Central and the 25th Mayor of Chicago.
On the way to the falls I found these little falls. Masons Falls is not accessible to the bottom, yet! That's for another day when I have more time, equipment and support in the mean time this will have to do...
Male of Megachile (Chalicodoma) parietina.
Technique: It was a cool day (18C) with partly cloudy skies and intermittent light showers -perfect weather to go looking for solitary bees since they'll have a tough time keeping their metabolism up. I got lucky and found this Mason bee semi-dormant in my Lavender.
Tech Specs: Canon 80D (F11, 1/250, ISO 100) + a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens (over 3x) + a diffused MT-24EX (both flash heads on the Canon flash mount, E-TTL metering). This is a single, uncropped, frame taken hand held. I used an artificial flower to keep the background from being black.

Mason, 2005-2021, was the last living of a four kitten litter. 50mm, 1.4, Olympus G. Zuiko, Auto-S manual focus lens.
Fuji X-E1, Fuji 18mm lens. Mason's Yard is the location of The Scotch of St. James club, where Yoko Ono and John Lennon partied after (or before - it's unclear) they met at the Indica Gallery.
I think this might be the Early Mason Wasp (Ancistrocerus nigricornis). It was spotted in a garden on Anglesey in May. Any ID help gratefully received. Thanks x

The memorial's landscape architect was Faye B. Harwell and the sculptor was Wendy M. Ross. The sculpture is one third larger than life.
If you are a vintage organ lover, weep. It's still in fairly good condition considering its age, but it is gradually falling to bits. And all around the floor and on the organ itself is evidence of the trapped birds that somehow flew in, but were never able to leave again. As I said yesterday, a horror show inside.
Mason & Hamlin were an American piano and organ maker in the 19th century. They were based in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Interestingly enough, they were founded in 1854, a year before this chapel was built.
The first male Red Mason bee of the year in our garden on the bee hotel. The Red Mason Bees are solitary bees that live in aggregations, but each bee is working for itself. They use holes such as hollow plant stems, or holes in walls and wood to lay their eggs. Each female bee provisions the cavity with pollen, and when she has collected enough she will lay an egg and seal the nest chamber. Mason Bees seal the entrance with mud. When the egg hatches, the tiny 1.5mm larvae eats the stored pollen. The larvae pupate in the late summer and overwinter as fully developed adults, wrapped up in a protective cocoon. Red Mason Bees have a single flight period, from spring usually coinciding with the flowering of Apple Blossom. The male Red Mason bees emerge first and tend to wait in the area waiting for the females to emerge. The females tend to emerge anywhere between several days to two weeks after the first male.
These emerged a few days ago, but they disappeared when the weather took a turn for the worse. Today was really nice and warm and got up to 62F. The bees were out again! There are several sub-species of mason bees, not all of them are the shiny green you usually see in photos.. They don't have hives, but instead nest in holes...either those made for them in "bee houses" that humans provide, or holes found in nature. Each female bee makes her own nest, and lays and cares for her own eggs.
