Sunny's Pose : Drinking here

Welcome good luck message!

In this case, the room is a waiting room for patients and is empty.

A rare stroke of luck on Saturdays for the outpatient on-call emergency service.

This past Saturday I left Miami in the morning and started a mini-road trip to Chicago for my move with my new airline I'll be working for. I had a few stops planned along the way with a stops in Nashville & Louisville to see some friends, what I didn't expect was this. I had no buffing planned except for the Lucas Oil Railroad - that will come soon.

Saturday I got to Nashville late, woke up around 9am Sunday, and checked my phone and found a text from a friend saying CSX 4568 is heading to Nashville on I14105, nothing more, so I did some quick research of an area I had no idea about and determined it was the Mainline Sub and I did some asking to some friends back home with good source technology and was able to determine a location.

I scrambled to leave the hotel and made my way to Franklin, KY, while I was hoping to get a shot with the intown Feed Elevator, I140 was coming north so the sun turned before I could, so I settle for a little side road just on the outskirts of town and this was the result after waiting about 2 hours of sitting around and watching I140 come through.

Seen is CSX I14105 running through Franklin, KY with CSXT 4568 (OLS) about to knock down the 134.9 Intermediate Signal after rolling through town.

To quote my good friend Tolga "you have some fucking good luck buffing" my reply “I just take pictures”.

I haven't done anything fun with my favorite Simmie of all time in a while... So thanks to DecorGirl's new pose hack, a bit of playing in PSP, and a cup of coffee at 10pm... Here we are!

Cobwebs in the house are considered to be good luck.

HMM...

Home group was at our house last week. Pot luck main course was chicken. I cooked during a hail storm. Fortunately the bbq was on our patio.

In a lucky patch of sun 37403 passes Omrsgill with 2c41 Barrow-Carlisle. Taken on the bridge in the background of the other shot. Was surprised to see this out on the coast today after having spent the past week working down south in partnership with 'Caroline'...it should've been 37401.

There is no photo manipulation in this shot. I took this shot while cruising down the South Branch of the Chicago River. The building with all the windows was the focus point and the reflections are from the other side of the river. When I went to process this shot, I realized that there was another building in the background that closely mimiced the building in the reflection as to width and lining up with the building reflection. Dumb luck I say :-)

Location: Worldwide. We all need a little luck in such a difficult time of coronavirus.

Photographing waders in flight is a challenge, but doing it while doing turns and pirouettes is almost a matter of luck.

Black bellied plover (Pluvialis squatarola) turning in flight without losing sight of me.

It's interesting what appears in long exposures that is completely ordinary with the naked eye....

More coolness with an LED hula hoop (and a circus performer to wield it)

On top of the fact that you're looking at a boat filled with people to the fullest, all looking at the water, hoping to get as many close encounters with friendly whales as possible, I see two things.

The first one is the boat filled with people itself, that makes a perfect metaphor for what Iceland should look like in july or august, a tiny island struggling to make room for everyone for a small portion of time, though nearly empty the rest of the year.

The second one is the sky behind the boat. Because the boat is clear in the picture, this simply can't be a long exposure shot. The sky, on the other end seems so smooth that it is. I can't explain that.

I stumbled over that 4 leaf clover in the morning :)

Sometimes it's just luck. I went home for lunch to let out Lily. While outside I looked and saw this ugly Turkey Vulture sitting on a tree with its wings spread opened. It sat there like this while I ran in the house to grab my camera and get some shots before it flew away.

Eva and pieces of luck

not easy to photograph

Unlike in the US, here in Germany I rarely know about any special movement ahead of time. Most of the times it means missing things and seeing pictures later on the internet but sometimes the surprises can be fun. Yesterday since the weather was slightly sunny and pretty warm I decided to ride my bike to Muenchen Sued to see if anything interesting would show up. Right as my window of light was closing this showed up, a RailAdventure 111 pulling a new C2 trainset for the Munich U-Bahn. After a short but agonizing wait while a passenger train overtook the freight, I got the shot in the last seconds of sun for the day!

Clearly a railroad about out of time, this eastbound Dead Freight looks its name, a motley collection of low-priority loads but mostly empties pulled by a clapped-out collection of oil-leaking, smoke-belching locomotives years past their prime. On November 10, 1979, this 85-car train passes the salvaged siding of Corfu, west of Othello, Washington, behind U28B 5511, U30B 5609, U25B 5056, GP9s 280 and 285, and GP35 1500.

Y'all!! Look what I found today....Finally!! I've never found one before. In all my 33 years!

I decided to take my 52 weeks in my own hands without anymore themes from here on out. I believe the themes were sucking the life out of me and blocking any creativity. I felt so anxious this week every time I thought about the theme for the week. The themes are not hard by any means but I keep freezing up and dread for the project has for sure set in. I want to try my best to save it and finish it out on my own. Wish me luck!

If one is lucky, a solitary fantasy can totally transform one million realities.

Today I attempt a family portrait, WITHOUT remote. Good times.
