So many things happening in this scene - two people enjoying a conversation, an older man looking out the window evaluating the world, the chap on the right looking down, and pretty much everyone else distracted by technology.
This is one of my images taken yesterday having attended a great session with Matt Hart, Street Photography Guru... not in his league, however, my first stab at being a Street Photographer.
What used to be a prison is now a youth hostel. Feel free to let the thought of this uplift your spirits.
Lyrics by New Uranium
i'm sorry, for what i did…
when I say that im not pretending
i'm sorry it was just a kid…
and you kno i never meant it...
[no words]
i'll walk around, and all about the world,
and still never kno why.
you always walking out, and made yourself cry...
and I never, wished for anyone to die…
except me…
[very soflty] (me, inna me, inna me, inna)
million people are watching me…
in a life to be,
my dreams are mocking me...
[no words]
oh but that is just how it is,
its never going to be the same
im sorry for what i did,
when i say that im not pretending
and im sorry it was just a kid,
and you kno i never ment it ...
[softer]i never ment it…
so go ahead and steal my life away!
again,
but kno,
im sorry for what i did...
im sorry for what I did,
and isnt this exaclty what you wanted to hear...
from me?
so for the other day, would you please forgive me

This is a photo I took yesterday while visiting a local vineyard.
New Mill Yard Pumping Station - now closed for some 25 years.
New Mills Yard Norwich. tinyurl.com/4kt5386y and tinyurl.com/2s3fjezw
The building is a disused pumping station - Victorian - but oddly without all the lovely ornamentation that such buildings generally have. I found it difficult to believe that it was built in 1897 - it is in such good repair. We were very fortunate to be allowed in to take photographs.
Looking out my window ... I feel surrounded by green.
It’s everywhere I turn.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIEWS, COMMENTS, FAVES AND INVITES!
A lovely change in the weather this afternoon, so I dashed off to Irvine to catch the sunset, to walk Poppy and to see if there were any photo opportunities. I had my camera on the tripod, shooting into the sun as it set over the water! Poppy, with an eye for composition, obviously thought we needed something on the right of the frame, and promptly sat right in front of the tripod! In fact, I think she was quite clever. I like how this turned out.
She sat there for an hour watching motionless. I glanced at her from my working place and suddenly that story of endless melancholy came back to my mind...
...listen to Gloomy Sunday (Sarah McLachlan version). The original Hungarian version was composed by Rezső Seress in the 1930's and was infamous of having accompanied so many suicides...
1999 the German-Hungarian movie Gloomy Sunday paid a beautiful and deeply moving tribute to the song - listen to Erika Marozsán singing the film version - beware: it ends with... a suicide.
A look down the close through the wet window, certainly different weather to the last few days in the high 20's

Finally added a 85mm lens to my kit and spent the afternoon testing it on the streets.
Twins:
• Two hearts that beat with mirrored sound,
A silent thread that wraps around.
In different skins, the same fire glows,
One feels the wind, the other knows.
Through time and space, apart or near,
They share one laugh, one falling tear.
A bond not forged, but simply born—
Two souls, one light since early morn.

Cathédrale Sainte-Croix d'Orléans, Orleans France, July 2021.
What normally would have been an overrun tourist scene at this fabulous cathedral became a photographer's paradise with only a few minutes' patience required to get a clear shot.

Captured from a hot air balloon flying over Derbyshire. A morning I’ll not forget in a hurry. The silence up there was amazing…
... I wish I was ... homeward bound ...
my first upload of an iphone photo (but perhaps not the last). I've been taking some shots that I like with my husband's iphone (when I remember that it actually has a camera to reckon with)! and playing with Instagram is fun, occasionally :) ... I've been very reluctant to use the camera on phones, and I think I'll only use it occasionally, but sometimes it's extremely convenient, and you can do some nice stuff with the iphone. I've definitely been inspired by some of my flickr-friends who do some fantastic things with it
