Rainy day in the Wokkpash... I had to work my way up a broad, mountain-ringed valley en route to the hoodoos (seen in yesterday's post). It snowed the first night, melted in the morning, I pushed a few miles up the valley and made a second camp, and then a weather system settled in: rain, off and on, for the next 24 hours. I decided to let it pass. Amused myself by reading, sleeping, drawing, going out with the camera when the drizzle let up, and picking wild blueberries.
The blueberries were growing thickly, perfectly ripe, indescribably wonderful, and along with puffball mushrooms allowed me to extend and add variety to my rations. I was careful not to lose any inside the tent, and I continued to cook away from the tent, in the open. This is bear country.

I was awake early and noticed the sunrise through the bathroom window, so rather than grabbing my dressing gown and going outside - i grabbed my phone and took a picture through the window. Not sure whether it works, but think the window pattern fits the repetition theme:-)

A Sad day for anyone wanting to Stay in the EU. Currently i feel very in the dark and slighly hollow! it's a weird feeling. I feel this shot shows how im currently feeling at the moment, In the dark but with light in the distance. I am hopeful the future will be bright but it remains to be seen. The future of the UK may be very different to now but only time will tell.
