Grand River North Ravines covered bridge along the Grand River. I finally am happy with a shot that I took from inside this covered bridge and believe me I have taken a few.

Harlech Castle looking out.
Harlech Castle in Harlech, Gwynedd, Wales, is a Grade I listed medieval fortification built onto a rocky knoll close to the Irish Sea. It was built by Edward I during his invasion of Wales between 1282 and 1289 at the relatively modest cost of £8,190.

Winter
Afternoon
Kind of one of those days that going outside feels like more work than it needs to be...grey,, gloomy......nah, I have a good book to read and it feels like a perfect time to curl up on the couch and do just that.

Little Owl / athene noctua. Suffolk. 03/04/23.
This image records the first time I saw this particular Little Owl. With just her head visible, she spent ages catching the warmth of the sun. Here she's looking in my direction, both eyes open but not alarmed.
Another 35 minutes passed before she flew out to start hunting for food. A lovely sighting to end a great day of photography in Suffolk.
Way off the beaten path, in the Manistee National Forest, is a path that leads to the top of a sand cliff that overlooks a big bend in the Pine River. This is it.
On Mothers' Day this year we went to Scarborough Castle for a trip out.
It was a gloriously sunny day and the views were amazing.
January, 2015: Acer palmatum 'Oshio Beni' (Japanese Maple) leaves just won't give up to fall or winter !
These ice crystals had formed on a window at work. I didn't have a decent macro lens at hand so I took a snapshot with my, at least, six year old Blackberry Q10. It only produces jpegs, so I imported the photo into DxO PhotoLab and immediately converted it into a 16bit tiff. From there, I processed it like any other raw file and was able to finish off with something that looks pretty reasonable I think. The snow landscape outside the window offers a little bit of interest as well. I think I'll take a real camera with me next time, and see what else I might achieve.
Photo taken with the Blackberry Q10 running BB OSX. Image processed using DxO PhotoLab 4.1.1.
This is taken in the living room of our friends' house in Nice. I recently uploaded a photo outside looking inside. The view isn't half bad, is it?
Athens, GA - Clarke Co.
I still have a few shots from Georgia in the archives. This one is a cheap imitation of MilkaWay's unique perspective.
Autumn colours are viewed through the obscuring glass of an oval door window.
The door design is obviously not of my own creation or manufacture; but the way the light and colour played with the varying details in the glass surface structure took great hold of me. There's a touch of sky, a touch of soil, and a compulsion of yellow foliage pulling one through the door.
It is somehow beautifully agoraphobic.
