"no, buddy, we can't play outside, it's raining out there, you know..."
Taken for the toys challenge in the 52 weeks for dogs group.
Cisco doesn't have a favorite toy, actually his fave toy is always the newest one. Well, this is MY teddy bear so of course Cisco thinks it is more interesting than anything else...
My idea for this shot was another (outdoors) but since it is raining today I couldn't realize it. So here's a window shot instead.
...taken last night right before I went to bed.....a little later than I should. I'm feeling it today ;)
Have a great weekend! :)

New Mill Yard Disused Pumping Station - now closed for some 25 years.\New Mills Yard Norwich. tinyurl.com/4kt5386y and tinyurl.com/2s3fjezwThe building is a disused pumping station - Victorian - but oddly without all the lovely ornamentation that such buildings generally have. I found it difficult to believe that it was built in 1897 - it is in such good repair. We were very fortunate to be allowed in to take photographs.
Winter showed its very bad mood yesterday. It seems that it does not want to leave and make room for spring. The air temperature was 0ºC but it felt like -19ºC, it was snowing and there was a very strong wind.
I took this inside of a tiny barn on an Amish farm that housed mother pigs and their little piglets. The Amish children who live there took me inside to take photos of the piglets. It was so dark and although I had trouble taking photos of the piglets, I spotted this window and aimed my camera. I wish you could have seen the looks on the faces of the kids wondering why I would be taking a photo of a dirty window when there were plenty of pigs to photograph. I explained that photographers took photos of all kinds of things. And isn't that the truth?
Out the front window at Above the Clouds Hostel.
At Cooper Gap I called it a day and bummed a ride back to Above the Clouds Hostel to rest, regroup, and make arrangements for getting home.
I took a series of photographs in the sitting room. It is a restful place.

Kushiro is a city on the east coast of Hokkaido, Japan's northern most island.
Seen from our hotel window is the Kushiro Fisherman's Wharf MOO (Marine-Our-Oasis) building...a commercial complex located adjacent to the Nusamai Bridge at the Kushiro River’s mouth. Being February, the river was solidly frozen with these curious patterns on its surface.
This complex houses souvenir stores selling marine products, a post office, a tourist information centre and a food court 'Minato no Yatai' with food stall-style restaurants. Also popular is the Japanese-style BBQ 'MOO Ganpeki Robata' (sadly for us, only open during the summer).
The glass structure closest to the camera is a greenhouse called 'EGG' (Ever-Green-Garden). During winter, this area is heated.
The building was designed by Kushiro-born architect Kikou Mozuna in 1989. The exterior features Kushiro’s natural motifs, such as red-crowned cranes, the mountains of Akan National Park and ship masts on the Kushiro River side. The road side facing the bus lanes features designs based on Kushiro’s industry, such as coal mine belt conveyors and oil tanks.

Time present and time past
Are both perhaps present in time future,
And time future contained in time past.
If all time is eternally present
All time is unredeemable.

Always carry a shammy leather ;-))))
Three regal foxhounds peering out of a moving trailer, eagerly awaiting their next adventure. Their glossy coats glisten in the sunlight as they exude an air of noble confidence. These pack animals are more than just cute animals, they are working canines that have been bred for generations to chase down prey. This photograph captures their fierce yet elegant essence perfectly.
