I was aiming to capture the largest full moon of the year rising over the local hillside windmill, but as usual my elevation calculations were way out and it passed too high, though that didn’t really matter due to the amount of cloud cover. As I had the camera all ready to go I took a couple of snaps of the moon with the clouds partly obscuring it, and was drawn to the semi-abstract nature of this one, the clouds resembling turbulent waves.
Marco Mondays theme is "Label" so it was a perfect chance to show my "How Many Days I Have Been It Lockdown" click counter.
At the moment for me there is no week or weekends, just days which I number and this is "Day 84"
Taken with my Nikon with 50mm with minimal editing with Affinity.
Happy MM everyone :))
Anyone here remember the old TV series Time Tunnel?
Back to more orthodox star trails. I'd have preferred a more interesting foreground than the top of our soon to flower Wisteria, but it was that or the white plastic eves of the neighbour’s roof.
Would have been nice to have longer star trails, but my battery depleted from 100% very quickly, and battery changing isn’t an option as it always results in a kink in the trails.

In the UK, lockdown has been extended. For certain segments of society, not yet specified but we can imagine who will be targeted, confinement may last even longer. For some, this means real suffering. For others, in particular those living primarily within their own head, the restrictions are less dreadful. My wife tells me that I belong to the latter.
This is near Weir Wood Reservoir, Sussex. It was our first short drive out for the permitted exercise since the UK lockdown began on 23rd March.
This a representative of the puristic approach. With eyes wide open, no motion, lying down as flat as possible, not much higher than the growing grass in spring, looking into the danger. And:
Wait patiently until the danger has passed!
Happy Easter!
An oasis in suburbia about a 15 minute walk from my home and a great destination during lockdown for walks and explores. Processed in Snapseed.
I know it's wrong, but as the queue moved, just for a moment, I got a mental picture of the scene in the Full Monty where they are standing in a queue at the benefit office!
