We are still in a state of lockdown in Nova Scotia but it is the only way we will beat this virus. Restrictions are really tight and I do want to get out and take pictures but we have to do our part. I have pictures from the past, but the past is the past (great memories), I live for today and the future.

Sure hope Canada issues a vaccine passport soon, it will help with travel around the world. I already need proof of a Yellow Fever vaccine when going to certain countrys so why not!!!!

This is Honey having a bit of a paddle in this reservoir. She is not a massive fan of water, but she will go in water as long as it gets no where near her head, she doesn’t like wet ears.
This was my first trip out for a walk that wasn’t local since the lockdown began, as the rules in England have changed and we are not confined to our local area I thought I’d venture in to the Peak District. To be honest it’s still pretty local, it took me less than 25 minutes to get here, but it was still nice to see some different scenery.
To take my mind off the current news and escape a little I’ve been watching quite a few films and I thought I’d mention one of them here, as I can highly recommend it. It is a film I’d already seen, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching it again.
The film is called “ The Guernsey literary and potato peel pie society”, it sounds like the title to one of Brian’s tales starring Horace and Hoof, but it’s not, it’s a story loosely based on the German occupation of Guernsey in the Second World War, it’s a great story, very watchable and certainly takes the mind off the current situation we find ourselfs in at the moment. If your in the uk you can find the film on the BBC iPlayer, under the film category, it’s also on amazon prime. It’s quite an uplifting film and I think most would enjoy it.

sunsets this past week were pretty beautiful and intense. Clouds are telling us that winter is coming. The kind of photos I can do while the lockdown is still active in parts of Santiago de Chile, hoping soon to get out and do more photos as I've got vaccinated and ready to resume my hobby and normal life as I knew it before this pandemic.
It’s now parked well and truly at the back of our minds but wasn’t it strange, Lockdown. I was reduced to local photography and when I say local I mean where I could walk to from my front door not jump in the car to a local beauty spot driving right through the wooly “essential travel only” guideline like many did. Anyway here is a image I took during that time, at 4:40 in the morning, I didn’t want to bump into anybody as my mask was in my other jacket.

Lockdown has taken enough of my time. In the train to Amsterdam and 30 minutes later I’m wandering through a deserted town. The part of the town were people not come when the sun is down. I will show you the places I found, one every day if possible.

Between Christmas and New Year, Tier 4 Level lockdown. I've taken to cycling the empty streets at night even if it is 0 degrees. One place is open on the right however.

This photo is one of my six photos that are part of the project Lockdown Europe, a European photo project on the Corona crisis - 47 photographers from all European capitals. The main goal is to put the pieces of puzzle, i. e. Europe, together again - at least visually through the pan-European photo project. The purpose of this project is to initiate an exibition that will move all around Europe.
Yesterday the northern states in Germany announced the lockdown of the German islands for tourists as they are not prepared to care for large numbers of Corona patients.
