sunsets this past week were pretty beautiful and intense. Clouds are telling us that winter is coming. The kind of photos I can do while the lockdown is still active in parts of Santiago de Chile, hoping soon to get out and do more photos as I've got vaccinated and ready to resume my hobby and normal life as I knew it before this pandemic.
It’s now parked well and truly at the back of our minds but wasn’t it strange, Lockdown. I was reduced to local photography and when I say local I mean where I could walk to from my front door not jump in the car to a local beauty spot driving right through the wooly “essential travel only” guideline like many did. Anyway here is a image I took during that time, at 4:40 in the morning, I didn’t want to bump into anybody as my mask was in my other jacket.

Every Chinese understands the meaning of this green horse: in Chinese, "green horse" is pronounced the same as "green QR code" (the so-called green health code), the latter being the good citizen card for ordinary Chinese, without which it is not only difficult to move around, but also possible to be arrested and put into a concentration camp.

Some of you may remember that my first lockdown project was to take my 40 year old guitar and renovate it. Project two was kind of the opposite. Build a new guitar but make it look like it has been played for forty years. Also I wanted to recycle where possible. The wood is from sepele sill boards from when the double glazing went in 20 yrs ago. The metal scratch plates are from a cooling plate from the old Raeburn cooker. In fact, although I am very happy with how it looks, and more importantly, sounds. I am already "pimping" it. My current project is teaching myself etching with acid. So the scratch plates may get cleaned up and etched. Wish me look-what could go wrong?

Lockdown has taken enough of my time. In the train to Amsterdam and 30 minutes later I’m wandering through a deserted town. The part of the town were people not come when the sun is down. I will show you the places I found, one every day if possible.

Another glorious Autumn day. Working in the garden in the late afternoon, it occurred to me just how lucky we are, being confined in an environment we love.
Marco Mondays theme is "Label" so it was a perfect chance to show my "How Many Days I Have Been It Lockdown" click counter.
At the moment for me there is no week or weekends, just days which I number and this is "Day 84"
