PANDORGA 2012 - CIUDAD REAL
La Pandorga es una multitudinaria fiesta popular de la localidad española de Ciudad Real, que se celebra cada año el 31 de julio. Tiene su origen en la ofrenda de flores y productos del campo la población hacía a la Virgen del Prado, patrona de la ciudad. Es el principal acto de la Pandorga que se realiza precedido de un desfile con trajes regionales que acaba en la Santa Basílica Catedral donde se hace el ofrecimiento.
La fiesta está presidida por el Pandorgo, prototipo de campesino manchego que cada año es elegido entre los vecinos de la ciudad. El Pandorgo obsequia a todo el que quiera a degustar la zurra, bebida alcohólica típica de esta fiesta, y el puñao o garbanzos secos. La fiesta continúa con la verbena en la Plaza Mayor.

The grocery store I shop at is big on local products. Yay for them! And yay for me for shopping there.

Local female freshman and sophomore high school students recently spent a day at College of DuPage, investigating careers in the science, technology, engineering and math fields. The Women in STEM Career Day gave students the opportunity to interact with female role models in STEM fields and participate in hands-on activities.
I was having some problems with one of my toilets not draining right. It would drain sometimes when it was flushed, but most of the time it wouldn't flush.
Local cheese vendor in Fez. Ancient capital of Morocco, Fez is filled with little alleys covering a maze of directions all over this compact city. Ancient temples, libraries and learning centers and palaces are tightly packed into the medina. Smells of local foods, food markets and cafes fill the air with spicy scents. Every block and corner of this walled city is filled with intrigue and wonder.

Sapa 1st day trek
This local was actually going to the market to sell her wares. She looks unhappy that I was taking her picture. I don't blame her , look at the load on her back.
The early part of this trek was so misty that visbility was very very poor. Made me wonder whether I could actually capture interesting shots.
