Unrenumbered former BN SD40-2 #8013 has just arrived at Springfield with the East Local - M-SPMSPM. The East Local is a turn job that works the Cuba Sub as far as necessary (possibly Dixon). This is an off day for the South Local and an example of the power utilization for the jobs around Springfield.

2037 was built for the CB&Q in 1964, and has worked for the Indiana Hi-Rail before coming back to the BNSF.

During the recent snowy period, I was out walking in the local fields and on both mornings, this small flock of Golden Plover flew overhead. if I had a tad more time, I would have attempted to locate where they might be spending the night. Lovely to see so close to home.

Ruined stone farmhouse on Mountain Creek Road at Fairlight. From the location I suspect it might be a victim of the 2003 bushfires, Taken in 2018.
There are far more cyclists on the road in Mexico than there were in the US - I tried to keep up with these guys on their lightweight road bikes for about 20 miles!
Nigel Willson is Suffolk's very own display pilot, being from Ipswich although his trademark Yak-52 is now based at Earls Colne airfield. Nigel can usually be found at the smaller and more local airshows, although in 2011 he displayed at the 2011 Waddington international airshow.
