The company name is for the geological area marking the northern limits of the growing area of the York River in Gloucester County, Virginia. The grow area has a mid-salinity range of about 18ppt.

I was trying to get the white balance to play nice on the phone to bring out the beautiful autumnal colours at the Clifton Bridge. This looks a bit heavily tinted, but it will serve.
We are lucky enough to be within driving distance of several volcanos....Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, and this one is Mt. Hood. Several weeks of snow already and the mountain is open for skiing. You can actually ski year round on the Palmer snowfield. A lot of our olympic athletics train there.

Every year, the Calgary Stampede invites local personalities and celebrities to help choose the Best New Food on the Stampede Midway on Sneak-a-Peek night. Everything from appetizers to main dishes to desserts and everything in between is represented, and each year is a difficult one for all the judges.
This year saw 10 celebrity judges sample 13 New Foods. The whole event ultimately ended in a tie for first place, with The Naaco Truck and their Empanada Chaat and Family Freezed and Squeezed for their Frozen Dulce Mini Donut Pop both walking away as Best New Food 2015. Incidentally, both vendors were previous Calgary Stampede Midway food award winners as well, with The Naaco Truck winning Best New Food 2012 and Family Squeezed Lemonade winning Best Beverage 2014.

Kanha was a bit of a dissapointment as there was heavy flooding, especially in the core zone, so noone was allowed in.
Normally we were supposed to have 3 game drives in the core zone. We did only one in the bufferzone, but the animals were very scarce. In the afternoon it was raining so heavily that we couldn't even go out and our second game drive was cancelled.
So the second day we cancelled our third game drive and visited a local village instead.
We would not have been allowed in the core zone anyway, and we feared the bufferzone would be just the same as the day before.
