A 5 second long exposure as the Canada Line skytrain crosses the bridge on the way to Richmond. The train's light trail ends at the first bridge upstand.
As part of the lead up to the Winter Olympics, the Canada Line opened in August 2009. It connects Vancouver, Richmond and Vancouver International Airport. The reviews and ridership numbers have been positive.
This was taken Tuesday evening 16th June towards the end of a Bognor Regis Camera Club Walk at Itchenor a village on one of the inlets of Chichester Harbour. This is a large harbour on the south coast of England which is comprised of many narrow inlets. The area is well known for Yachts and boats.
The picture was taken on a Tripod with a Sony A700 with a Sigma 28-80 zoom at 55 mm with 3 images for HDR. Outputted in Photomatix using Contrast Optimiser for a natural look.
Processing included Topaz DeNoise and Clarity and a saturation adjustment layer, yellows and reds in Photoshop for a warmer look.

With Reddish Demolition in attendence we are on Nelstrop Road North bridge looking towards Levenshulme along the Fallowfield Loop Line, which was opened in 1892 and ran round the south side of Manchester, linking Sheffield Victoria with Manchester Central.
The last train on the Fallowfield Loop Line was behind 47443 on a Freightliner from Trafford Park in October 1988, the Fallowfield Loop Line is now a cycle path.

An SD60 pair sh0ves a Shops pulldown back into the yard after coming out to Wolf for headroom. It was nice getting another shot of these things, as well as the shadows not being a pain towards them as well
I stumbled across this old SOO Line bridge just north of Minneapolis and heard a train whistling for a crossing just east of it. CP SD30C-ECO 5032 leads (I'm sure) yet another transfer west over the lettered bridge on the approach to Camden Place and the railroads Humbolt Yard.
Three Burlington Northern SD70MACs line up on the west side of the Alliance Diesel Shop waiting to be moved inside for maintenance work on June 13, 1998. It still looks like BN around the shop except for the single orange SD70MAC and a Santa Fe C30-7. A good number of BN GE C30-7s mix with the SD70MACs, but a SD60M, Oakway SD60, and a SD40-2 can also be spotted.
This guy is a lizard, not a snake. Notice the front and rear legs! We occasionally see them at Airlie, and they're very interesting to observe.
When someone mentions BNSF's Hi Line Sub I immediately think of the stretch of railway between Java and Summit Montana. With two main tracks clinging to a shelf above the valley, and numerous snow sheds this area is a great place to watch the passage of freight. Photography on this part of the railway can be challenging, with access to most locations gained by hiking, or more recently, from the air.
So on a typical October afternoon (note the lack of sun) a westbound Z train snakes along the shelf and through the sheds along my favorite portion of the Hi Line.

During the 24-hour event this year, I hopped into the parade and entertainment control line walking up thru Main Street at the end of the Festival of Fantasy Parade. Fun times.
