The High Line is an old train track running up and down Manhattan's Lower West Side that has been recently renovated into a public park. Most of the stretch is beautiful, grassy, and exquisitely landscaped, but this one block under a section of neon lights was calling out to me to be photographed. It just seemed to really evoke the old feeling of the industrial meatpacking district that is hiding underneath the tracks.

Saturday 16th April 2022 saw Liverpool play Manchester City in an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley. With the West Coast Main Line affected by engineering works, it was bound to produce a good selection of coaches with around 250 turning up. I noted 22 different coach body manufacturers to give plenty of variety to the day.
K Line Travel of Huddersfield: (YJ07 JVL) a Wright Cadet bodied DAF SB120, painted in white and blue fleet livery. This vehicle is captured in Huddersfield whilst operating a journey on service 301 to Golcar.

Who's afraid of all those nasty ol' EMFs?
I owe the title to my wife Sammy. She walked through the room when I was working on this, and all she said was "party line" and continued on out of the room. I was going to call it "high powered convention," but I like her title better.
Then again, maybe "party line"doesn't mean anything, or means something political to many of you Flickrites who weren't around in the days of telephone party lines, when several people shared one phone line, and you could listen in on the conversations of neighbors on your line. Of course, we never did that...☺
Taking some old line work to try out a motion sequence. It's ended up looking a bit like lean Zaha Hadid architecture.

66422 with the Inverness - Mossend Tesco intermodal waits at Blair Atholl for 170452 to pass with 1H13 1333 Edinburgh - Inverness. It looked from RTT as though this ought to be a Scotrail HST working. Oddly enough, the following Glasgow - Inverness Scotrail HST set was terminated at Blair Atholl because of a train fault. 27th June 2019.

I think the new line has generally been running well. But this afternoon a train seems to have developed a fault. It slowed down my train arriving here at Paddington - then it was clearly causing a delay going back eastbound. The display says it all: 1st train 2 mins, 2nd train 1 min!
