Lighting up the knurling on one of my numerous torches. Above with a blue light source and then from camera right with a bare torch. Finished by drawing the black fibers up and down slowly and the Ryus Lightworks edition torch on super blinky strobe mode. Sooc.
Shakrain is celebrated mostly around the southern part of Dhaka city. When night falls, fireworks light up the sky of old Dhaka. Flame-eaters also gather on the roofs to entertain people with their skills of manipulating fire. Music awakens the whole town, while people keep dancing from their hearts. Bringing thousands of people together to compete and have fun, it is an occasion and a day every youngsters wait eagerly for.
Usual setup here with my large diffusion sheet, Ryus Lightworks uber torch and my invaluable www.lightpaintingbrushes.com black fibers gelled orange.

An internationally acclaimed sensation of light, colour and sound has the beautiful gardens of Kings Park / Kaarta Koomba as a canvas. The journey was beneath tree canopies illuminated in colour, walking under larger-than-life flowers and into dynamic, glowing tunnels. Enjoying breathtaking lightworks created by the best local and international artists. Winter in Perth Kings Park showing off in the dark
Ohmmmmmmmm.
I sifted through the cardboard catalog tonight and found this spiritual creature. Stuck her on a piece of ceiling light perspex and lit her up.
www.lightpaintingbrushes.com black fibers, orange and blue filter attachments and a Ryus Lightworks vii wonder torch. I lit from behind using those tools then a swift tripod swap to the other dimension which exists inside Riley's old coat.
Long exposure light art shot in the darkness of my front room.
Good evening and I hope all is well, my camera and I have been separated since the end of my last 365. Only shooting a handful of times and never really getting anything which excited me.
This weekend I spent a few glorious days camping in the Peak District with Phill F, James Mills, Paul from Lace and Tom H.
This is from last night where Paul and I explored a leafy pathway just off the Monsal trail. Inspired by the green's and gold's of autumn I knew my colour combination. Shot using the LACE backlight scanner, LP Brushes filters, universal connectors and my favourite Ryus lightworks torch.
I'm really hoping that the longer nights give me the impetus the get out more and to fall back in love with LP again.
Great weekend in top company and looking forward to seeing everyone else's stuff.
Happy days
I'll try not to do another of these tomorrow night but I'm not making any promises :)
I got a new filter today from ebay. A Hoya Star8 for the princely sum of £2.99 so thought I'd give it a run out tonight.
Placed the star flare in the middle of the frame and exposed for 5 seconds, lens cap on and positioned the light blade. 8 way rotation of the camera one for each 360 of the blade which was powered by the Ryus Lightworks modded torch. Finished off with a rotation of the black fibers for the expulsion to fill the outside. Raw conversion with minor tweaks in Lightroom.
this is what I found in the other side...a ball full of stars!!

Back out with my OG LP Bro Matt. Took our hammocks out to the forest for the day just to chill out. Once it hit about 10.30pm it was dark enough to spin lights and the camera. Circles spun using Ryus Lightworks v2 on fast strobe.

Horrendous cropping, but the light and colour is so beautiful i couldn't resist. Time to learn how to photograph buildings...
and here's the obligatory View it on black... but it is worth it!
I started the night trying to take a series of shots around the periphery of my face with a view to stitching them into a panorama. It didn't work out as desired so I continued to faff and the exposures became longer and longer.
Beauty dish above, flash shot through the tank of a broken water pistol bottom of the frame. finished with a good sweep of the lpbrushes black fibers and Ryus Lightworks v2 torch.
I would've added another flash behind my head for a rim light but it's batteries are in one of Rileys Christmas presents :)
