I had a very agreeable evening sat on the ledge of a cliff waiting for it to go dark. This is Winnats Pass in Castleton viewed from on high. This place is an amazing place to drive down. Its like the earth is swallowing you up. I have wanted to shoot here for ages and tonight was the night. I got there bright and early so I could compose before the light fell. I love the way the trails lead to Castleton in the distance.
I struck lucky from another's misfortune as Mountain Rescue drove down with the blue lights flashing which gave me that little bit extra interest I was looking for.
Light painted the foreground and over the road with the my Sky Ray torch to lift the shadows.
This is number 93 of my 366.

Neighbors came to visit us at my mom's home in Schuders, located in the Swiss Alps near the Austrian border. This is in our living room, she was sitting near the window.
I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

Douglas-firs are medium-size to extremely large evergreen trees, 20–120 metres (70–390 ft) tall (although only Coast Douglas-firs reach such great height). The leaves are flat, soft, linear, 2–4 centimetres (0.8–1.6 in) long, generally resembling those of the firs, occurring singly rather than in fascicles; they completely encircle the branches, which can be useful in recognizing the species. The female cones are pendulous, with persistent scales (unlike true firs), and are distinctive in having a long tridentine (three-pointed) bract that protrudes prominently above each scale (it resembles the back half of a mouse, with two feet and a tail).
Oregon designated the Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) as the official state tree in 1939.

Under a bridge early in the morning. The yellow & orange stone begins to glow as the sun climbs higher.

Day before I take this photo, I figure the smoke of my cigarrete did the same efect. So, I put 3 chinese sticks burning to be more intense, and the morning Sun light made this efect.

Another superb night at the Lime Kiln and nearby tunnel with Chris T on the Monsal trail. Spent most of the night shrouded in smoke at the kiln and then moved to the tunnel to give our lungs a rest. This one was shot in the tunnel and was a little improvised. The shot I had in mind was a massive fail after my orb tool gave up the ghost mid shot and the resulting image being a bit on the turd side. Strapped a light painting brushes adaptor on my led lenser with a white diffuser and span that about whilst Chris rotated the camera. Tablet exposure to kick things off and some net curtain to finish up.
Always great to catch up with Chris and wave lights about.
This is number 191 of my 365.

Tonight had me reaching for the toy box again after half an hour trying to make some garlic look interesting.
Thanks again to James De Luna for his very kind gift of a mini tunnel. This has come in very handy over the past couple of years.
Purple light through the slits then a quick wool spin using my drill.
