We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

Have you ever met someone in a day and found that you have a big impact in their hearts and they never forget you ?
In the collage, there was a lady, in 70s I think, life forced her to work in cleaning the desks, classes, and other places in the collage building, I used to visit her very often, and she used to sing for me a special song whenever she sees me coming, laughs with a wide smile, as her heart is laughing from inside, has a talk, prays for me for success, hugs me for farewell... and so on everyday...
Now after I left collage about 3 years ago, she’s still in my thoughts, and I always wanted to visit her again, but never got the chance...
Last month I did, and when I just said to her “how are you auntie ?”
Words can’t describe her happiness and surprise, she remembered my voice, my face, my hands, every detail, she hugged me tight and cried “where did you go ?... why you left me ?... I always think of you and wonder where you are !!”
I’ve been so shocked and cried “you still remember me ???.... I’ve not been here for 3 years, you still remember me ???”
And we sat and talked and laughed, I didn’t want to leave but I had to run to work, I felt sorry for her that she was still in that job, she must take a rest in her age, but she has no one to help, she has to live by her own...
When I wanted to leave she cried again, so I kissed her head and said “I promise you to come again !!”, and I left... still surprised and shocked...
And I have to go there again now...
I always ask this question “why such people are left alone? why their sons and daughters leave them to work “dirty jobs” to live ?”
I don’t know, maybe you will see this is a crazy thought, but I’ve been feeling for many years that the idea of getting married is not in my mind, I feel that I have to stay with my parents when they get old...
When I say that to Ma, she laughs at me and tells me to hush !!! :))
But anyway, I hope all people keep in touch with those who love them dearly and are precious to their lives...

A late afternoon photograph of the big cypress bayou at caddo lake state park. It was warm and humid but the calmness of the water and a slight breeze made the afternoon pleasant enough for a short stay.
