I have high hopes that one day a Mars rover will uncover something like this set of fossilised terrestrial ammonites!
I created a few centimetres of Mars in our dining room with a block of fossils, LED lights and ground coffee. I now have a piece of ancient rock that smells of Starbucks.

In this part of the world seems to stop the time. There aren't stressful signs as in our everyday life. The calm reigns in this fascinating scenery.
It's really relaxing to sail admiring this marvelous place.
Halong Bay, Quảng Ninh Province, Vietnam.
Waterscape 4 of 100 for 2025.
This massive rock sits proudly in the middle of Deadman's Beach. I've often wondered how it ended up there—what geological forces shaped its journey?
Today, as I looked at the photo, it struck me: the rock resembles a giant bao bun buried in the sand. Naturally, this led me down a rabbit hole exploring the history of bao buns. Originating in Northern China, bao dates back to the Three Kingdoms period in the 3rd century, with some evidence pointing as far back as 400 BC.
And then it all made sense: giant, rock-eating aliens with a penchant for Chinese cuisine must have dropped this here during one of their visits in ancient times. Mystery solved. You're welcome!
Thank you all for the kind likes and comments—they’re always deeply appreciated!
P.S. Speaking of buns, if you’ve got 3 minutes, I recommend this touching animation about motherhood and buns:
The life given us, by nature is short; but the memory of a well-spent life is eternal.

Coming the 1st to Arcade!
So for the ones knowing the game, I bet you probably recognized what this gacha is based on!

I wish I could have made even more items for this one gacha but sadly I wasn't able to make it so I hope you people will like it anyway!

Each marker in this image represents one of the 429 Sailors and Marines who died on the Oklahoma on Dec 7th, 1941. Only a small portion of Grave markers, are visible in this image. I took this image in May of 2019 at Pearl Harbor. I choose this perspective because of the Tree in the Background. To me, it represented new Life.
Life without friends is like tree without leaves. You look cool in one season but boring the rest of the time.
Life is like sand, whoever passes by leaves their footprints on it. The wind drags it away and changes its shape, but nothing is lost if we keep the memories we have in our hearts tight in our minds.

“Your mission: Be so busy loving your life that you have no time for hate, regret or fear.”
― Karen Salmansohn, Instant Happy Journal: 365 Days of Inspiration, Gratitude, and Joy
It's a snow day where I am in Utah and school was canceled. The day has been filled with shoveling, playing in the snow with my daughter and our puppy. These are the days I will savor!
the forgotten life,
a tree inside a broken painting
the memory of the races clinging to a wall.
And the clouds that flow.
Unsuspecting.
These are some of the Greek and Roman amphorae from the 3rd and 2nd century B.C.; they were recovered from the bottom of the sea around the island of Lipari (Aeolian Islands north of Sicily). They have been most beautifully exhibited in the Museo Bernabo Brea in Lipari. Clearly, transport across the Mediterranean was dangerous, but, on the other hand, the contents of these containers (wine, olive oil, marinade) must tell us that life in antiquity had most attractive sides. There was luxury, for some.
