This image shows how life is harsh for both predator and prey. This male lion was feeding at a kill site in the Masai Mara national reserve on my 2019 trip. There was a large pride present with lions of all ages at the scene. We hung around for some time to watch breakfast being consumed before we headed back to camp to have our own.
Note the flies present on the lion. Everything plays its role in our ecosystems and should be valued as a result.

One of the important life lessons in this house is........YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE CATS. Lucy's tail is at the top of the photo as she's sitting on the table with her head peering over the other side glaring at Emily. Emily has learned that she can practice her puppy shenanigans with everyone in the house except the cats. The cats get along with all of the dogs as long as the dogs follow the cat rules. Emily is a few days shy of 6 months old.
Sunlight playing hide and seek through a gooseberry tree in my garden !!!

Western Pasqueflower, Mount Rainier National Park, Washington
These are two different life stages of the same flower. It blooms as seen in the top photo, then forms a green spiky ball, then it "lets its hair down" in the final seed stage. (The hairy stage often reminds me of a Muppet!)
It is one of the earlier subalpine flowers to bloom so the meadow and lake basin at Owyhigh were filled with these flowers in their various stages of life.
Photo was taken at late evening at Parksville, Vancouver Island, Canada.
For the last few months I didn't have any opportunity to take any new photos, thus, I am going to post some photos from last summer. Hope you like them.

AMSTERDAM, Art in Light Street UAMC - Life consists of infancy, youth, the middle years and old age. Each stage is an important and beautiful time of growth, learning, caring and sharing in a special and unique way.
I have only had one other cactus I wasn't sure I would be able to keep it alive in this northern hemisphere but it seems to be ok and it grew some flowers.

Life is inevitable. Life will always find the way. I wonder, how much truth is in those quotes. Life is often misundestood as a human life, the end of the world as the end of human kind. Life will sure continue happily without humans, but what will happen, when carbon chemistry won't be able to work anymore? Will the life find the way?
