Morels found foraging in the mountains with Jon Rowley. I am totally addicted to the hunt. Didn't want to leave, can't wait to go back, and I'm pained thinking of all the mushrooms we had to leave behind.

“She’s not like that now. She knows better. She knows now that people lie, and promises can be broken as quick as they are made. She understands that she might never be loved, and too quickly good things fly in front of your eyes before you can reach out and grab them. She knows that you can’t change or help time, so every now and then it will just run out. There isn’t a place for everyone in the world, so if you’re standing alone for awhile, that’s why. Not everything in life comes easy, but when you work the hardest, that’s when it’s the best. You can’t always expect people to care, and even when your best friends stab you in the front, don’t think for one minute that they didn’t already aim for your back. They missed for a reason. She has found out to soon, that in the end, you are your own best friend. Everyone will be broken at some point in their life and more often than not, its gonna hurt like hell. But you can’t stop it. You can’t change your fate. Some things are meant to be and all the pain you go through will end up resulting in something huge. You don’t know what it is and when it happens, it will hit you like a ton of bricks. At some point, when you have experienced everything you can, the words ‘Life’ and ‘Risk’ won’t mean anything to you anymore. But don’t try and change that. Stuff like that is meant to happen. Overtime, certain things no longer have an affect on you. And that happens because that’s the way it supposed to be. But you’ll learn all that later in life when little things like a sunrise or a spring rain start to matter. But it might catch you off guard and happen sooner.”

Tapati Dutta - 3 life lessons from cannibals, sex workers and the 'others' around the world.

A Life Lesson learned today ;-)

Stunning Sydney weather so thought a trip to Barrenjoey Lighthouse might be in order as I'd never been there.

This was going to be my day ... killer shots of the interior stairs, panoramic views from the top, detail shots of the light itself ... camera heaven :-)

Did my research and checked the website ... didn't sound so bad ... 400 metres 'easy walk' followed by 600 metres 'hard walk' but no water or amenities at the top. No problem !

The 400 metres 'easy walk' was on the beach in soft sand and lugging my camera backpack all loaded up at maybe 8kg wasn't too bad. I thought, once I get on the track the going will be a lot easier.

The 600 metres 'hard walk' was almost a vertical ascent of roughly 10,000 steps (well, it seemed like it) ... but the thought of all the shots I'd be able to take spurred me on.

About halfway up I was questioning the wisdom of the endeavour ... my legs were getting wobbly, my breathing was 'heavy', I was starting to see stars ... well, you get the idea ... it was somewhat hard.

After about 20 minutes of sweaty discomfort, I reached the top ...

Lighthouse only open on Sundays between 11 am to 3 pm

So I took a Happy Snap just to prove I made it to the top !

I regret to inform that some pixels were harmed in the manufacture of this image ;-) ... but that's the way it appeared to me through my blurred vision :-p

I am even adding important Life Lessons message at the beginning of Disney/Pixar's 2008 animated film Wall-E because the movie Wall-E teaches everybody including little kids that recycling and keeping the whole world protected by pollution is always very important and that all businesses including retail and e-commerce needs options of brick and mortar, online, and app and the movie Wall-E also teaches everybody including little kids NOT to let AI and technology take over humans because AI can trust mean spirited things on the internet which makes people so upset whereas human adults know not everything on the internet is real and not everything on the internet is true and that you must stick up for your own dream future and fight against mean-spirited stuff.

This baby tortoise's poor little legs were flailing all over the place so he could right himself, it took a while.

Happy Mother's Day to you all.

I hope you get to spend your day in whatever way suits you today, though that is not always possible. But if there's anyone who knows that better than a mother, I don't know who it would be. Mothers know that life is about making do with what you have.. about making lemonade out of lemons.. about snatching the good out of a bad day, and making everyone around them the better for it. They are the ones who teach us all the most important life lessons, so if today isn't your perfect imagined "Mother's Day" - just remember what your mother would have told you.. And if it is - remember what your mother would have told you about that too...

Much love to you all..
