Dedicated in 1926. Designed to mimic the architecture of ancient Egypt. Third largest public library in the U.S.

AMR Library will be collecting and displaying butterflies created by children at the Aliamanu Military Reserve for the Holocaust Museum Houston's Butterfly Project. After a month or so of display, we'll be sending them off to Houston.

Sorry to say, this beautiful, historical landmark will soon be closed. The truth of the matter is, that while this is an architectural gem, it just isn't big enough to house a modern library. Thus the town has built a new building (even further from my house) that will be the new home of our town's library.
