Brenda's craft for the week was to make tooth pillows for the Tooth Fairy to use when she comes by the exchange some money for a tooth!
Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat paid a special visit to the library to pose for pictures with the kids!

Built in 1905 at a cost of £3000 now stands unused although i believe it still contains some original fittings there is no sign of it being put to some use due to its poor position on a busy road juncton.
"It was probably my 5th year of teaching, it was a normal day until a kid in the library started to have a seizure. This was the first time anything like this happened, nobody knew what to do, all of our knowledge about safety led up to this moment and we were all too shocked to do anything. We ended up calling an ambulance and everything ended up being alright."

A competition run by Europe Direct Plymouth for European Day of Languages to design a bookplate that will identify our new European literature collection for children.
The Young Adults got to participate in a book themed scavenger hunt. Once they knew what answer they were looking for it was a race to see who could find it in the library lawn!

Hadrian's Library was created by Roman Emperor Hadrian in AD 132 on the north side of the Acropolis of Athens.The building followed a typical Roman Forum architectural style, having only one entrance with a propylon of Corinthian order, a high surrounding wall with protruding niches at its long sides, an inner courtyard surrounded by columns and a decorative oblong pool in the middle. The library was on the eastern side where rolls of papyrus"books" were kept. Adjoining halls were used as reading rooms, and the corners served as lecture halls.

On March 27, 2015, the College-Rolando Branch Library celebrated its 10th Anniversary on Montezuma Road and 60th in the community.
Visited my old school over the weekend; this is the entrance to the middle school library, where I used to spend as long as possible....!

New Brickton Library started life as the Lego 10224 Town Hall set. It has been remodeled and revamped to serve as the town's library. The design is based on the idea that it is one of many Carnegie Endowment Libraries, and features a working time piece in the upper facade.
