Milan's Palazzo di Brera which houses the Braidense Library
The Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense or Braidense National Library, usually known as the Biblioteca di Brera, is a public library in Milan, in northern Italy. It is one of the largest libraries in Italy. Initially it contained large historical and scientific collections before it was charged with the legal deposit of all publications from Milan. Since 1880, it has had the status of a national library and is today one of the 47 Italian State libraries.

This is the library of Paris' City Hall: L'Hôtel de Ville.
This City Hall was burnt in 1871, during one of these revolutionary times we had in the country, and this library was created in 1890, as part of the rebuilding.
Have a happy and creative year 2017, my dear friends ! Thanks a million for the views, the faves, the wonderful comments and most of all for sharing your beautiful artwork !
The former Benedictine monastery in Wiblingen is now home to several departments of the medical faculty at the University of Ulm.
The interior of the library was completed in 1744 and is one of the most famous rococo buildings in Southern Germany. The renowned magazine Architectural Digest chose the library hall of the Wiblingen monastery as one of the 13 most beautiful in the world.

William Gladstone, four times Prime Minister, left his large collection of books to the nation.
They are housed in this building, which has a residential wing. We stayed for two nights.
it was a haven of peace. No TV's here, just a radio in each bedroom.
Gladstone's Library, Hawarden, Flintshire, Wales. Three miles from Chester.
Pour moi qui aime les sujets répétitifs et les symétries, cette bibliothèque est un lieu rêvé. Elle est située dans le très beau Rijksmuseum d'Amsterdam.

The library of Celsus in Efes, in Western Turkey. Ancient Greek city on a site that has been occupied for over 8000 years. During the Greek Period it was one of the twelve cities of the Ionian League. Ephesus was one of seven churches mentioned in the Book of Revelation. The Gospel of St. John may have been written in Ephesus and the ruins of the Basilica of St. John and his burial site are nearby. The Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, was located here. The theatre of Ephesus could hold 25,000 people. Check out my Ephesus album for more images.
