This was the building where a medicine oriented library was at. It was the entire book collection of the first guy to be a phisician comming out of Oxford medical school.

Doddridge Library (left), Barnstaple, built in 1667 by Barnstaple Corporation as provided for in the will of local merchant John Doddridge. Now part of the Parish Church with the original volumes now housed at the University of Exeter.
This was my biggest build for the GFKLUG holiday display this year, our local public library. It is also the building that hosted the event so it was very fun to see everyone's reaction to it. I don't do a whole lot of buildings due to the space they take up but this was a good exception. Complete with Little Red Reading Bus for good measure!
On June 6th the City Council reserves NOK 40,000 for a construction fund for a new main library. The decision is based on 130 years of wandering across the city.

Summer is here again and the Friendswood Library kicked it off with a Reading Roundup! The theme this year for Summer is the Old West with lots of cowboys, rodeos and of course, reading!

It will open in its new home on the Ridgeway on Monday 2 February at 2pm

Barnstaple Library's Friends Group the BFGs hjeld a fundraising quiz night on 10th August, it was great fun and included a raffle. the winners received a bottle of wine each
Jake Dixon,3, looks at some of the books inside the Little Free Library sponsored by the Junior League of VA-TN attached to the YMCA. The books are free to take and read and bring back. There are several locations around Bristol that the small libraries have been located.
