Now that Bob and Dave found the missing book, they headed over the the Beneficial-Hodson Library to look at some microfilm for their top secret project. After several hours of research, they had all that they could take and needed to burn off some steam and went outside.
The Radcliffe Camera was built 1737-1749 to house the Radcliffe Science Library. It is known familiarly as “The Rad Cam”, or “ The Camera” (Latin “camera”, a room). It is not open to the public. The shadow cast on it is from the University Church of St Mary the Virgin.

In October 2016, a group of brave stuffed animals came to the library with their favorite humans for bedtime stories, then stayed for an overnight adventure.
The following day, their humans came to pick them up and take home a sleepover souvenir!

The new Library building in Birmingham is stunning, both inside and out. You are able to ascend right to the roof on the 7th floor - the final journey in a glass lift - where you can look out across the City to the surrounding coutryside. There is also a herb garden on the 4th floor. Hopefully this set of photos gives you a taste of the building and the wonderful veiws of the surrounding buildings.
The great Library of Celsus, built in 117 AD as a monumental tomb for Gaius Julius Celsus Polemaeanus, the Roman governor of the province of Asia. The grave was beneath the ground floor, just inside the main entrance under a statue of Athena, goddess of wisdom. The library facade has 2 stories, but there were actually three stories in the library, storing more than 12,000 scrolls. This made it the third largest library in the world at the time, behind the libraries of Alexandria and Pergamum. The library facade was restored by the Austrian Archeological Institute in 1910.

"The Past Reimagined: Victorian Fashion and the Designs of Eladrienne Laval"

Eladrienne Laval's real life background as an artist and a student of History guides her SL design work, and her experience with the fabric arts informs both eye and her design choices.
This exhibit explores Miss Laval's creations from source image though design and construction, and places them in the context of her inspirations from Victorian art and Fashion. A section of the exhibit looks at one of Miss Laval's favorite designers, Charles Frederick Worth, the father of haute couture. Caledon Library curator Siri Woodget has collaborated with Miss Laval to supplement the exhibit with materials on one of Worth's famous patrons, Isabella Stewart Gardner.Indeed, the exhibit features the unveiling of a new item of SL couture! Especially for this exhibit, Miss Laval has created an in-world re-imagined version of one of Mrs. Gardner's favorite dresses by Worth.

A shot of the Cleveland Public Library in downtown Cleveland, on East 6th and Superior.
Due to a discussion at the Olympus E-System Community, I decided to try a new challenge where I would pick a prime lens, and shoot only JPEG, and do no post processing adjustments to the photo. Similar to the days of film, where you could not change a dozen setting at any given moment. I am shooting in black and white, ISO 400, contrast +2, and all other settings left alone. The only settings I will be changing are aperture, shutter speed, and a B&W color filter if I decide to do so. I of course picked my OM Zuiko 50mm f/1.8 lens.
This was taken at f/8, with a red filter.
I am really liking this project so far, I am definitely paying more attention to light and shadow, and composition.
