Doddridge Library (left), Barnstaple, built in 1667 by Barnstaple Corporation as provided for in the will of local merchant John Doddridge. Now part of the Parish Church with the original volumes now housed at the University of Exeter.

Captain Graybeard and his Helmsman came down to the Library to teach the kids about pirates, play games, and look for the hidden treasure!

The New York Library is probably one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever been in.

The Tween program for the day was Fizz Boom Eat! They kids tried different food experiments with Professor Sti!

The Edenvale Library hosted this entertaining and educational craft where kids 9 and up learned about the basics of circuits, built a portable version and explored parallel and series circuits.

Barnstaple Library's Friends Group the BFGs hjeld a fundraising quiz night on 10th August, it was great fun and included a raffle. the winners received a bottle of wine each

There was a display of Hot Wheels toy cars during May 2007 at the Central Library.

Each one of these bags contains a selection of materials hand-picked for our Visiting library patrons - people who can't physically visit the library. Each person's selection is placed in a labelled bag, loaded on these carts that are rolled into delivery trucks and the bags are delivered to people's doorsteps.

A discussion was held to observe International Library day and International book day on 28th Feb 2014 at Liaqaut library by department of culture and tourism. Delegates from civil society organizations, media persons, teachers, students and representatives from culture and tourism department participated in the discussions. Speakers briefed the need and maintenance of libraries in Karachi and the efforts to bring in readers. They also highlighted the gaps and ignorance of authorities for rebuilding and maintaining libraries in Karachi. Tribute offered to Chairman ARY Haji Razzak Yaqoob for his contribution in libraries promotions. Director libraries Bashir Ahmed and Dr Qazi Almas Uddin were the guest of honor at the occasion.
