Lexus has started to become more noticeable lately. I think he knows my vehicle and he's very curious about me. He watches me from a distance. Sometimes if I stay in my car he will come up to the car and look at me through the windows. I was able to put his shelter out today. I found a homeowner who agreed to let me put it on her property and to put his food under her stairs. She is a different lady from the original homeowner who asked me to come to the alley.
This lady is the owner of a pet black cat named Blackie who I did show once before on my photo stream. He is a lot bigger than Lexus and he has a red collar on. When I went over to her house to discuss the details of where to put everything, I was standing inside the house just inside the door talking with the homeowner. Not 10 feet away, just outside the door, both cats were hanging out together. I wished I had brought my camera along. The homeowner told me the two cats play together all the time. I was lucky enough to witness them playing together one evening myself this past summer.
I am trying to trap some feral kittens and their mother not far from where Lexus lives and he regularly comes by to watch me. I have not seen any kittens yet, but I have had several people tell me they are indeed there. I don't know how big they are, but they are probably at least 3 months old. I have seen the (reported) mother twice in the last 24 hours. Once she almost went into my trap, but backed out. The second time was one occasion when I was coming to check my traps and she ran off. I think I will get her soon enough, then I hope I can catch the kittens.
UPDATE: So far, no luck catching anything. I will still keep trying to trap them, but only in the evenings. The past two days I had off from work so I put a lot of time into trying to trap any of the kittens or the mother. Any spare time I have (about an hour in the evening) has been spent out by the local lake as it is very rich with migrating birds right now and it is very beautiful out there.
I am starting to think that the cats are either no longer there, or they have a food source, or both.

After a year of sporadic building, I've finally finished my scale model of the Lexus LFA. The LFA is one of my top five favorite cars, along with the Enzo Ferrari and Pagani Zonda, which I have also built in LEGO. The design is understated compared to most exotics, but still very striking at the same time in my opinion.
Overall, this was a very fun car to build. It took me a while to produce a front end that I was satisfied with; although I am still not entirely happy with the exposed studs above the headlights (LEGO needs to make wedge tiles!).
My favorite part is probably the rear half. I'm quite pleased with the way the side air intakes above the rear wheels turned out, as well as how smoothly the rear spoiler fits when retracted.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope my next car doesn't take an entire year to build!
The First Generation Lexus IS (also sold as the Toyota Altezza in some markets) was available for model years 1999-2005.
This is Lexus and his friend Blackie. Blackie is the one wearing the collar. Many of you know that I trapped Lexus in January 2012 and had him neutered before putting him back. You also may remember that he has sort of adopted himself to a home where I have been feeding him. When it got cold outside he started going in through the cat flap for short visits. When cold weather hit, he moved right in. It helped that the homeowner would leave the interior door open to encourage him to come in through the cat flap.
He sleeps with the homeowner and even rubs her legs, though last time I asked, she hadn't tried to pet him yet. It was a little bit dusky when I went out to feed the cats last night, but light enough to take my camera. I was hoping to see some of my TNR cats and sure enough, I did. By the way, I don't think Lexus eats my food anymore, but is fed by the homeowner.
