In 1653, on the banks of the river in the wasteland Klyazma Ivanishkovo Prince Jacob Nikitich Odoyevski built a wooden church in honor of the Holy Trinity, and this area became known as the church of the village on the Trinity. So, know the exact date of construction of the temple and the village education Trinity.

Then, in 1695 Prince Mikhail Yakovlevich Cherkassky, who at the time owned the village of Trinity, construction of the stone church, and was completed in 1704, and in 1815-1822 years. with the new owner of the village column Dmitri Sheremeteva stone bell tower was erected.

Occurred in 1917, and with it came the hardest test for the Orthodox Church, which has not been spared and Trinity Church. His last three priors had a lot of patience from the atheist regime.

Last rector of Trinity Church was Archpriest Sergei Tretyakov in 1931 to 1936. In 1936, he was arrested and the fate of Father Sergius unknown. Immediately after that, the church was closed, and in the same year, he was cleared bell. Then in 1940, he lost his completions and was desecrated.

During the War of 1941-1945, the temple was used as a bomb shelter. In 1945, it housed a weaving factory, and at the end of the 70's it was replaced foundry, which worked until 1990. Over the years, the temple was not recognizable and much decayed, and on its roof rose trees.

Life in the church in the village of Trinity was revived in 1995, but the church has not yet been handed over to the church and on the services were held at the walls of the temple first service in it was made to celebrate the finding of the relics of St. Sergius, July 18, that is, one of the his feast day. Since then, the restoration of the temple.

A lot of work had to parishioners and benefactors of the church of the Holy Trinity, to their church regained once lost grandeur. In 1999, took its rightful place once again cast the bell, and in that same year, the church gave the house located across the street of the clergy, who as well as the church was in need of serious restoration. Now the work is almost complete vostanavleniyu temple, constructed its territory, a new building was constructed and the christening fence

The Grand Falls can be an awesome sight - especially when the water level is high - which wasn't the case this time but it was still worth the trip. The Grand Falls are located east of Flagstaff on Navajo land; it's not well marked but with simple directions you can find it. A high clearance vehicle would help - the last section of road is nasty. Per the locals, Flagstaff did not have a lot of snow this year, hence there wasn't much water. The Grand Falls is seasonal - once the snow melts it dries up, so if you go in the summer it might be completely dried up.

Heather and I had the place almost to ourselves (there was one other couple there). We walked down to the bottom and played around the Falls, shooting at different angles. Great late afternoon light. The one disappointment we had was all the trash at the bottom - cans, bottles, tires, toys, and even some appliances. I would definitely go back here again - hopefully with more water flowing!!

My new level was not quite on the level;

so I decided to perform an exploratory bubblectomy.

My trusty little Swiss Army knife easily popped out one of the plugs at the end of the main vial.

As I had hoped there was a screw underneath.

The second plug was much more difficult to remove and was nearly destroyed in the process.

Apparently the factory used glyptal, lock-tight or some similar substance to lock the screws in place and some of it locked the second plug in place as well.

I removed the screws to view their fine threads for precise adjustments.

I removed the vial and found the final item I hoped for; namely a pair of rubber pads.

(If the pads had not been there, I would have had to make my own out of an old inner-tube.)

It will now be a simple matter to reassemble the level and then to re-calibrate it; by adjusting the two screws to compress the two rubber pads as required to make the bubble center when the level is level.

Another shot from my visit to the Tor last week. A wonderful misty morning across the levels yesterday. My first visit to the Tor for sunrise and I was rewarded with one of the most beautiful mornings I have seen.

The mists kept moving, coming and going, breaking to open up new views every few minutes.
