The cableway on level 2 between the silo and the launch control capsule in a Titan II missile silo. The view is towards the control center.
The Titan Missile Museum is located in a decommissioned Titan II missile complex just south of Tucson, Arizona. At over 100 feet tall, the Titan II was the largest ICBM ever deployed by the United States. We got the opportunity to take a comprehensive tour of the facility covering all eight levels of the underground silo.

Fernhill Colliery - sunk between 1869-71by Ebenezer Lewis. The adjacent levels working No.2 Rhondda seam were opened by George Watkinson & Sons who bought the colliery in 1877. Became linked underground to Blaen-Rhondda in 1893.
The shafts were oval in section - No.1 pit 17'-6" x 11'-6" & No.2 upcast pit 16' x 11' and placed 44 yds. south of No.1 pit.
The shafts were lined throughout with Pennant sandstone.
The winding engines were made by Mr. C. Sheppard of Bridgend and designed to wind independently from the Four Feet & Two Feet Nine seams.
On Friday 14th. September 1874 two shaft sinkers were killed - David Jones & Henry Lloyd whilst opening out into the Two Feet Nine seam.
In 1898 there were some 850 men & boys employed at the Fernhill mine together with the two levels working the No.2 Rhondda, Gorllwyn, Two Feet Nine, Yard and Six Feet seams. The manager in 1898 was Mr. Daniel R. Jones. ( North Dunraven was non-winding at that time)
Ventilation in 1898 was by a 13'-6" dia. Schiele fan. As well as mechanical pumping each cage had a 90 gallon tank fitted underneath so as to dip into the sump on each wind and which was automatically discharged at the surface during non-coaling shifts.

Bunchrew Level Crossing with automatic half barriers - converted from automatic open crossing (AOCL) to AOCL+B in August 2013.
Now I do an urban level crossing. And this one is rather nice in the city of Lincoln complete with foot bridge.
The High-Level Panel (HLP) for Women’s Economic Empowerment presents its first report to the United Nations Secretary-General. The report findings highlight seven drivers to unlock the power of women to work and achieve their financial independence, such as tackling adverse norms and discriminatory laws, reducing and redistributing unpaid work and care, increasing access to loans and changing discriminatory business practices.
The Panel, created by the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon earlier this year, aims at placing women’s economic empowerment at the top of the global agenda to accelerate progress towards the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The list of speakers included:
HLP Co-Chairs Luis Guillermo Solís Rivera, President of Costa Rica, and Simona Scarpaleggia, CEO of IKEA Switzerland. Panel members Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, Executive Director of UN Women; Winnie Byanyima, Executive Director of Oxfam International; Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund; Jim Kim, President of The World Bank Group and Guy Ryder, Director-General of the International Labour Organization. Government representatives include Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica; Erna Solberg, Prime Minister of Norway; and Priti Patel, Secretary of State for International Development, the United Kingdom.
The event was held in the ECOSOC chamber at UN headquarters on 22 September 2016.

A tram and train meet at the soon to be removed at-grade crossing in Glen Huntly (the station is named Glenhuntly). Setting up a meet like this took over an hour, but was well worth the wait.
Key leveling block is used to block #1 and #88 keys to proper height. Then a straight edge is used to level the others.
