Wigmore Street in Marylebone (City of Westminster, London). In this street alone (which runs parallel to Oxford Street) there is so much expensive refurbishment and restoration work going on, precious investment that is, that the money spent here could regenerate a whole town in the north of England. "Levelling up" is a phrase used by the British government to address this inequality of investment, that is the privileged position of London vis-a-vis the neglect of central and northern Britain. It is a fine phrase, but words alone are not enough. Fuji X100F.

The idea was to get as low to the ground and possibly line up some grooves in the cement, but alas I wasn’t happy with the result. I switched to monochrome and pushed the structure in the nik collection to show off the strong design work. No ants were hurt in the making of this photograph.

The incidence of stormy weather is constantly increasing at the coast. The dunes (not only) on the North-Sea-Islands suffer. Beach grass is often the reason for the development of a dune and it slows down the destruction.
