The forecast today was for sunny intervals and light showers so I headed for the Levels. Big mistake! A very few minutes of sunshine and a very heavy downpour.
This was all I could manage in the way of wildlife.

There are now three 22 plate hydrogen deckers at King Street Depot. The first two have now been branded for routes 17&18. Note the route detail that only covers the common parts of the 17&18 and surprisingly gives Charleston as the ultimate destination despite buses not having served there for two years now.
Could this be a relaunch of the service back to pre COVID levels or has the Glasgow based marketing department devised the branding based on the out of date route map still on the First website?

Amtrak No. 5, the California Zephyr, passes Rocky siding on the afternoon of October 23, 2011. Three levels of track can be seen here, and Amtrak will negotiate them all within a few minutes. The train is headed for Little 10 curve which will swing it to the middle track. Number 5 will then head east and encircle the long Big 10 Curve and then be on the closest track at Clay, ready to continue the long climb up the front range of the Rocky Mountains to the Moffat Tunnel.
