A Queens-bound train arrives at the upper level of Queensboro Plaza. Due to a weekend GO, Queens-bound trains were running express from Queensboro Plaza to Mets-Willets Point, so the diamond bullet came out on the weekend.

Actually made as a gift for a good friend who hosted me for a week in his flat.
One SB600 on each side, shot at 1/4 power, triggered by Commander unit of the D200, bounced off big white paper sheets.
Cooper holds the perfect pose, level head, eyes front, full concentration. I couldn't ask for a better dog, friend and constant companion !
Helianthus Laetiflorus - Plants have tall and upright stems with bushy clumps of green leaves (slightly jagged & lanceolate) topped with branching sprays of soft yellow daisies(yellow flower heads, with "ray" petals radiating from the center, surrounded by centers of tiny disks florets). They have roots that send out new shoots and spread the plant. These flowering plants lose their leaves so the stems need to be cut close to ground level from late December through to the end of March. This is in front of a neighbor's house in Carmel, New York.

The building on the left is the Phoenix Company building. It's an oval with sharp corners on the long ends, and it's surrounded by a plaza connecting multiple large glass, metal, and concrete buildings

The High Level Bridge and LRT Bridge from the Walterdale. Bathed in a golden glow of sun rising. The train stopped for just a bit so I managed to capture it.
The former Great Western station in Wolverhampton was overshadowed when they invested in electrifying the LMS line to High Level station alongside. The last passenger train departed in 1972 - however the station lingered long after that. As you can see, in April 1991 it was pretty much complete.
Tracks have been cleared today, but the main building survives in alternative use.

It was a beautiful morning today and I was able to grab a few minutes on the way to work. It's promising to be frosty and foggy again tomorrow so I'm getting up early to go out with my camera...

Schech's Mill near Caledonia, Minnesota. The mill was built in 1876 and is still in operation. It is the oldest operating mil with original equipment in Minnesota.

The potholed carpark at the summit of the Bealach na Bà pass (around 620m altitude) in the Applecross peninsula, with Beinn Bhàn in the distance.

Stunning conditions over the Somerset Levels.
Forecast for the last weekend was very "unsettled" - which meant possibility of stunning light.
Towards the saturday evening, heavy showers started to come through the Bristol Channel and make their way across the Levels. And ocasionally sun would come out of clouds and lit up the lush green fields.
As the sun moved lower, clouds thickened making it look less likely of a good sunset. But for a brief moment, clouds gave way just long enough to capture this 5-shot panorama.
