A Lake Huron horizon one fall morning ...

One from back in 2019. Upper levels of Dinorwic Slate Quarry, North Wales. I remember it being freezing cold and hail showers passing through with phenomenal sunset light coming through between the showers.

Rain clouds and gloom yesterday..

Bright early morning sun today...

I'm a happy happy Bunny !!! :-)

Thanks for viewing

Best regards Martin

Walking up from the lower level of the lock i was met by this interesting view of the beams that are used to open the lock gates .......when the lock has filled with water and the pressure has equalised you push on the beams to open the gate ....well there may be a bit more to it that that but you get the idea.......Botterham Staircase Locks on the Worcestershire & Staffordshire Canal nr Wombourne

Half Moon Bay provides so many shooting possibilities of different bird species including the Mew Gull, but at this particular location what I really like is the 'eye level' viewing where the birds come to land on small

rocky reefs that appear at low tide!

A different sort of edit from the car-rig test a couple of weekends ago.

I've attempted to clone out the rig again.

Parys Mountain

On Parys Mountain the harsh acidic and metal rich environment supports specialised bacteria which derive their energy from the weathering of sulphides. Due to the high level of soil contamination little life survives on or near the mountain, but there are a number of examples of rare plants and bacteria. The bare, heavily mined landscape give the mountain a strange appearance which has been used in the filming of science fiction film. If a poor landscape what a colour it has left. Due to the high chemical content of the water, ”snotties” thrive in the until recently submerged passages.

And just in case like me you didn't know what snottites were, here is the explanation “Snottie is a microbial mat of single celled extremophilic bacteria which hang from the walls and ceilings of caves and are similar to small stalactites, but have the consistency of nasal mucus” – nice!
